Beginning as a medical clerk in busy medical and dental clinics and hospitals, she was an integral part of the healthcare delivery system providing one-­‐‑to-­‐‑one advising to the beneficiaries for medical appointments and specialty care. Later, she served in management positions within the Army Medical Department conducting program analysis and various management responsibilities to assist in sustaining the Army’s infrastructure program for medical facilities. Finally, her primary responsibilities on the Army staff required effective communication skills to ensure full integration of staff action issues that often included short-­‐‑fused, complex, and extremely sensitive issues.
