How to access
emergency credit
Once your funds get down to £2,
British Gas offers an emergency credit
of £5 to give you a bit more time to
top up. You can activate this on your
smart energy monitor or on your
smart meters themselves, in a few
simple steps. (Don’t forget that next
time you top up you’ll need to pay
back any emergency credit that
you’ve used.)
