In this issue we cover the Unit Standards and Unit Standard versions that will expire at the end of this year. We also list the upcoming REAL Assessor training and peer moderation workshops. Expiring Unit Standards / Unit standard Versions The below unit standards have versions that expire on 31 December 2016. All trainees who are completing these versions MUST be assessed before this date. 20826 Describe infection control requirements in a health or wellbeing setting Versions 1-3 expire 31 Dec 2016. 23386 Support a person to meet personal care needs in a health or wellbeing setting Versions 2-3 expire 31 Dec 2016. 23389 Describe risk management planning in a health or wellbeing setting Versions 1-2 expire 31 Dec 2016. 23451 Describe the role of a support worker in a health or wellbeing setting Versions 1-2 expire 31 Dec 2016. 23452 Describe techniques for moving equipment and people in a health or wellbeing setting Versions 2-4 expire 31 Dec 2016. 23685 Describe pre-packaged medication and the process for its use in a health or wellbeing setting Version 4 expires 31 Dec 2016. 23686 Describe a person's rights in a health or wellbeing setting Versions 1-2 expire 31 Dec 2016. 26978 Support a person to eat and drink in a health or wellbeing setting Version 1 expires 31 Dec 2016. 26979 Describe the immediate response to the death of a person in a health or wellbeing setting Version 1 expires 31 Dec 2016. 26974 Describe interaction, supports, and reporting for people with dementia in a health or wellbeing setting Version 1 expires 31 Dec 2016. Careerforce Training Agreement There is a new Training Agreement available on our website. This Training Agreement has a space in section K. Training Programme where the assessor can be specified. We do occasionally make changes to this form, so please remind your workplaces to always use the latest version of the Training Agreement when enrolling staff. See the form here. REAL assessor training workshops - October These REAL assessor workshops will help you build on your knowledge and skills in assessment. Use the Careerforce REAL model for respectful, efficient, applied and living training and assessment. Observers are very welcome to attend these workshops as well.
