Functional Safety and Security in Industrial Applications
May 10 and 11, in Cologne, Germany
Functional Safety as well as Security have become one of the
most growing areas of importance in industrial automation.
This year’s Symposium will highlight developments and
status-quo of Industry 4.0 with focus on Functional Safety
and Security aspects.
Furthermore latest updates in the standard IEC 61511 and
challenges of its application in the Process Industry are
presented and discussed by international experts.

This event shall create an international forum where
presentations and discussions support intensive experience
and knowledge exchange and transfer information from
leaders and experts on Functional Safety as well as Security.

International speakers will present the state-of-the-art of
Functional Safety and Security applications of different
industries.
The accompanying exhibition will show newest developments and trends. Open discussions will be possible during

The fee includes attendance at the Symposium,
refreshments, lunch and dinner. The fee (free from all
deductions) is payable on receipt of our invoice before start
of the Symposium.
Participants from foreign countries do not pay VAT if the
company’s VAT-ID number has been indicated.
The fee does not include accommodation costs.

Registration
Please submit your registration in writing to TÜV Rheinland Industrie Service GmbH as soon
as possible. The final date for receipt of registration is three weeks prior to the start of the
conference. Your registration is binding as soon as it has been confirmed in writing.
Cancellation of registration
Cancellation of registration must be submitted in writing.
Please understand that due to the limited number of participants, we are obliged to retain
50% of the fee for cancellations which arrive later than 14 days before the start of the
conference. The entire fee must be paid in case of cancellations which arrive later than 7 days
before the start of the conference and participants who leave during the conference.
Fee
The fee (without deductions) is due on receipt of our invoice and must be paid prior to date of
Symposium.
The fee does not include accommodation costs.
Arrangements
The organizer reserves the right to substitute speakers and/or postpone the conference or
make changes to the program.
Liability
If an event must be cancelled due to reasons for which TÜV Rheinland Industrie Service
GmbH is answerable, only fees which have already been paid will be refunded. Further claims
are excluded.
For damages for which TÜV Rheinland Industrie Service GmbH is answerable, the company
shall only be liable in so far as it is found guilty of intent and/ or gross negligence.
