HOW TO BURN A CD/DVD IN WINDOWS 7
To burn a CD or DVD on a Windows 7 machine:
1. Insert the CD/DVD into the PC’s CD/DVD writer.
2. From the Task Bar select the Windows Explorer icon:
3. From the menu on the left select (E:) DVD RW Drive:
Select the CD/
DVD drive
4. The “How do you want to use this disc?” screen will appear, using the radio buttons select
the required format. If you are unsure which format to use click on “Which one should I
choose?” or go to: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Which-CD-or-DVDformat-should-I-use

BURNING A CD/DVD USING THE LIVE FILE SYSTEM METHOD
To burn a CD/DVD using the Live File System method:
1. From the Burn a Disc screen click on the “Like a USB flash drive” radio button:
Click in the Like a USB flash
drive button
2. Click Next. The disk will be formatted, please note: this may take some time:
Once the formatting is complete you are ready to copy files to the CD/DVD.
3. Within Windows Explorer navigate to the file you wish to copy to the CD/DVD.
4. Drag and drop the file(s) to the CD/DVD drive (E:).
In the example below, the document “Documents Referenced on...doc” is being dragged
into the E:

The following screen indicates the copying status:
The file has now been copied to the E drive:
Remember to remove your CD/DVD from the drive!
BURNING A CD/DVD USING THE MASTERED METHOD
To burn a CD/DVD using the mastered method:
1. From the Burn a Disc screen click on the “With a CD/DVD player” radio button:
Click in the With a CD/DVD
player radio button
2. Click Next.
3. Within Windows Explorer navigate to the file you wish to copy to the CD/DVD.
4. Drag and drop the file to the CD/DVD drive (E:).

5. The file(s) will be listed on the E:. Click Burn to disc:

6. Enter a Disc title and click Next:

The files will burn to the CD/DVD:
7. Once complete click Finish:
The disc drive will open, remember to remove your CD/DVD!
