General Service Valves
ASCO Scientific offers an extensive line of 2-way and 3-way miniature solenoid valves designed specifically for applications where
long life, small size, and low power consumption are a must. These valves are ideal for the control of non-corrosive liquids and
gases in medical and analytical instrumentation,
portable devices, in addition to select industrial
applications. Our General Service line consists of
robust cylindrical frame solenoid designs, as well as
modular, rectangular pad mount configurations.
Available constructions include conventional and
latching solenoids paired with a variety of orifice
sizes, and mounting configurations. Many options
are available including various body and seal
materials, electrical connectors, and port configurations.
Isolation Valves
ASCO Scientific Isolation Valves are defined by their construction. Sometimes referred to as shielded core valves, they incorporate
a diaphragm that shields the internal components of the solenoid from the fluid flowing through the valve. This is important in applications where the valve is controlling corrosive or high
purity fluids. This line includes two broad types of
isolation valves - inert isolation and general isolation.
The ASCO Scientific line of Inert Isolation Valves
are constructed with extremely chemically resistant
materials such as TFE or PEEK based polymers,
as well as Perfluor Elastomer to handle the most
aggressive or high purity media. The line of General
Isolation Valves are constructed of chemically
resistant thermoplastics such as PSU, PPS, and PEI,
as well as elastomeric compounds like EPDM,
FKM, and VMQ. Our 2-way and 3-way isolation
valves are available in both manifold mount and
in-line configurations.
Pinch Valves
Pinch valves are a unique family of valves that are designed to control
fluid by placing soft tubing in a mechanism that squeezes the tubing to
block flow and releases it to allow flow. Like isolation valves, pinch
valves keep the solenoid components isolated from the fluid. The only
wetted component is the tubing itself. Pinch valves are designed to be
used with silicone tubing because of its superior resilient qualities.
Limited only by the compatibility of silicone tubing, pinch valves can
be used to control a large variety of fluids. Pinch valves are also
useful when controlling fluids with particulate. Our Series S Pinch
Valves and Compact/Low Power Pinch Valves are available in 2-way
normally open, 2-way normally closed, and 3-way versions.
Manifolds
To reduce assembly time, eliminate leak paths, and avoid plumbing
errors associated with tubing together in-line valves, ASCO Scientific
offers a standard line of manifolds for use with our Series AM
Miniature General Purpose and Micro 10 Series of valves. These
standard manifolds are made of corrosion resistant anodized aluminum
and are available in various multi-station configurations. ASCO
Scientific can also design custom manifolds in a variety of materials
using many different types of valves and components to meet your
specific application requirements.
Customization
In addition to ASCO Scientific’s comprehensive standard product
offering, we have the ability to create customized products that
provide the precise solution to meet your fluid control needs. For
many customers we take standard platform products and modify
them based on their input. Custom manifolds, special body configurations/materials of construction, and customer specific testing
requirements during assembly are just a few examples of the
possibilities ASCO Scientific can offer.
