Supporting Community & Recreation Facilities System Procedure Clause 4.5.1 Monitoring and Measurement Document Number: CRF-SP-4.5.1 1.0 PURPOSE The purpose of this system procedure is to establish a process whereby Community and Recreation Facilities will monitor and measure on a regular basis the key characteristics of their operations that can have a significant environmental impact. 2.0 SCOPE This procedure applies to the ISO 14001 environmental management system of Community and Recreation Facilities. 3.0 DEFINITIONS Please refer to the Enviso Glossary of Terms (CRF-SP-glossary) for the definition of the following terms contained in this procedure: Environmental Aspect, Environmental Impact, Environmental Management System, Enviso, Intelex, Operating Procedure, Procedure, Record, Significant Environmental Aspect, and System Procedure. 4.0 PROCEDURE Step Details of Procedure Responsibility 4.1 MONITORING / MEASURING KEY CHARACTERISTICS THAT CAN HAVE A SIGNIFICANT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT. Environmental Conformance with Operational Controls: Operational control procedures shall be developed for operations associated with Supervisor, significant environmental aspects (as explained in CRF-SP-4.4.6). Environmental Team, Community The key characteristics of Community & Recreation Facilities’ operations that can have a & Recreation significant environmental impact will be identified based on a review of significant Facilities Branch environmental aspects. These characteristics will be listed in the Monitoring and Management Team Measurement App on the Intelex System. Requirements for equipment calibration will be outlined in operational control Supervisor procedures or associated work instructions. 4.3 REPORTING The results of monitoring and measuring activities shall be summarized and reported to the Environmental Branch Management Team as part of the Management Review Meeting as explained in Supervisor CRF-SP-4.6 Management Review. 4.4 MONITORING AND MEASUREMENT ACTIVITIES – COMMUNITY AND RECRERATION FACILITIES. In addition to monitoring and measurement noted in Step 4.1, other monitoring/measurement activities include, but are not limited to: Anemometer Verification Biological Controls Application Bulletin Boards Update - Enviso Communication Inquiries – SEA Disposal of Empty Pesticide containers Disposal of expired pesticide product and fertilizer Employee list- monthly Enviso Fertilizer Application Document Facility Shutdown – Aquatics and Arenas Fuel Storage Container checks Fuel Tank and dispensing checks Fungicide and Herbicide Application equipment Calibration Mail out of Enviso Documents to external stakeholders.
