Automotive Outdoor Retail Lighting Design Guide Making the Right Choices with ™ Good Outdoor Retail Lighting Is Essential LSI Automotive Lighting offers you the Power of Choice. We’ve taken exterior lighting to an entirely new level with ART (Advanced Reflector Technology). Just like in your showroom, ART allows you to specifically highlight your merchandise, maximizing your selling efforts. Available with Automotive Forward Throw (AFT) and Automotive Interior (AI) reflectors, these optical systems maximize fixture ™ efficiency and uniformity, allowing you to utilize lower wattage lamps for your front row feature display and interior row general auto merchandise sales areas. This innovative system is the result of the synergy created between a highly advanced reflector design and a variety of lamp and fixture choices. Whether you are building a new site, or upgrading an existing dealership, LSI has an ART solution for you. Delivering the effectiveness of retail showroom lighting outdoors Photo showing 750-watt ART application at Sam Pack’s Five Star Ford, Carrollton, TX. LSI recognizes the many issues retailers face today – irregular sized lots, zoning constraints, energy restrictions, and corporate specifications. Our palette of lighting options address all of the above and more. IESNA Recommended Illuminances The IESNA (Illuminating Engineering Society of North America) provides recommended illuminances based upon specific applications or tasks for a variety of environments. Outdoor lighting presents several challenges given a number of visual considerations such as brightness, glare, visual acuity and the eye’s ability to adapt to varying light levels. CIRCULATION CIRCULATION CIRCULATION INTERIOR ROW MERCHANDISE Typical Auto Dealership INTERIOR ROW MERCHANDISE CIRCULATION The chart below reflects the IESNA recommendations for general exterior lighting at automotive dealerships. The levels established by IESNA are ‘maintained levels’* which take into account lamp depreciation and other specific field conditions. This LSI Design Guide provides typical spacing recommendations that fall within the IESNA guidelines.
