The Content of the Poem
This poem can be considered as three separate
‘stories’.
Using your own words, write a version of each,
using the following titles:

Structure

• The introduction, attributed to fictional
philosopher Francois Aussemain.
• The conclusion – a direct address to the
reader from the poet.
