Wood Crossarm Braces
BROOKS engineered Wood Crossarm Brace designs utilize the proven dependability and reliability of select straight
grained coastal Douglas fir combined with tested steel fittings. The fittings are hot dip galvanized after fabrication. The
tapped fitting designs insure that the brace assembly hardware remains permanently tight and secure.
With over a half century of providing quality products to the electric utility industry, BROOKS understands the strength and
electrical qualities demanded by today's distribution systems. BROOKS Braces are designed, tested, and manufactured
to meet those requirements.
Catalog numbers listed in the product tables are for standard spans, drops, and mounting holes. For other applications,
please describe by span, drop, and mounting hole size. Catalog numbers for these special applications are available on
request.
446 Series Reversible Crossarm Braces
BROOKS 446 Series Reversible Braces combine all the benefits required of a distribution brace and will satisfy most
distribution applications. It is strong yet light weight and can be furnished in a wide variety of spans and drops. Listed catalog
numbers indicate pairs and standard hole sizes. The reversible feature allows for either left or right hand installations.
Standard holes· 9/1e" arm, 11 /1e" pole.

requiring longer spans and drops. The 346 Braces are usually furnished in pairs, but lefts and rights may be ordered

346K Series Mounted Crossarm Braces
BROOKS 346K Series Braces are similar to the 346 type Braces except bent end fittings are used on both ends to allow
for mounting to the side of the pole. These Braces are reversible and can be furnished in any practical span and drop. Listed

58128 Flat Crossarm Braces
BROOKS 58128 Flat Wood Braces are designed to provide strength equal in tension or compression, and when installed
in pairs offer mechanical strength greater than flat steel or fiberglass braces. The Flat Wood Braces are reversible, fit
standard crossarm drilling, and interchange with the non-wood braces. The wood section is selected from clear straight
grained Douglas fir stock. The catalog number indicates a pair of braces.

BROOKS 41018 Series Alley Arm Braces are designed to meet bracing needs for alley construction or when offset arm
applications are required. A lineman's working step, manufactured from 114'' x 11/4" galvanized steel, is factory assembled
and is furnished standard. Braces are sold as individual units (not pairs).
