All end fittings are attached using a crimping
process to achieve the required tensile strength.

Adapter plates
To comply with ANSI standards on 7” B.C.D. fittings, MPS has adopted the use
of 1” adapter plates (5”-7”) shown here. The top adapter plate, when needed,
has integral slotted holes to facilitate alignment during erection of bus supports.
The use of adapter plates increases the height of insulators by 1” or 2”. For
retrofitting, it is possible to adjust the total height to original TR value. Contact
factory for details.
Standards
Complies with ANSI and IEEE standards + IEC tests. Seismically
validated and tested per IEEE 693.
Recommended for most applications with B.I.L. ≥ 900 kV.
