2016 OPERATING HOURS/DATES FOR ENGINEERING COMPUTER LABS
OPERATING HOURS
Unless specified otherwise, the following operating hours will
apply to the Engineering computer laboratories G11, G14, G15,
G18, G19, G20, G21 & G21a in building 60 (23 College Walk).
The computer lab in building 72 (14 Alliance Lane), room G38 will
only be open during normal hours (weekdays only) all year round
except 26 Nov – 24 Feb 2017 when it is closed.
Note that the labs in building 35 (16 Alliance Lane) are for the use
of ECSE students only for classes and assignment work.
The Design Studios in New Horizons are for class teaching use
only. After hours access is not available for those areas.

*Special hours end at midnight of the specified date
Normal Hours (All labs in bldg 60 and G38/72 OPEN)
* Monday – Friday 8am till 6:30pm
Students may apply for after hour access from any of our Express
Computers. On the Express Computer desktop, double click on the
“after hour access” icon to start the registration process.

After Hours
To test if your ID card has been registered, simply hold your student
ID against the ‘’proximity card reader’’ located on the wall beside
the cupboards outside G14 in building 60.
(Card Access Required – Lab G18, G19 & G20 OPEN)
* Monday – Friday 6:30pm till Midnight
* Saturday, Sunday & Holidays 8am till Midnight
Special Hours
(Card Access Required – Lab G18, G19, G20 & G21 OPEN)
* Monday – Sunday 24 hour Access
If the card reader beeps twice, it means your card has been
registered successfully.
The card access will terminate on the 18th Nov 2016.
Each year, students will need to reapply for after hours access.
Registration will be accepted from the first week of semester 1.
This privilege is only available to students who are enrolled in at
least one Engineering subject.
