iONE MOTOR, SHADING AND HOME AUTOMATION SYSTEM – Seven Years Limited Warranty
SCOPE
This limited warranty (“Warranty”) covers iONE Motorized Shade System supplied by Jackson Global (‘System”).
LIMITED WARRANTY
Jackson Global warrants that each System will be free from manufacturing defects from the date of shipment by Jackson Global. The period of warranties are
listed as follows :
(a)
Seven years for “iONE Shade System and Shade Hardware. If the Customer notifies Jackson Global of any defect within the seven year warranty
period and if requested by Jackson Global, returns the defective part(s), Jackson Global will, at its option either repair the defective part(s) or issue
a credit to the Customer against the purchase price of comparable replacement part(s) purchased from Jackson Global as provided below :

One year for “iONE Home Automation Components” (wall controls, interfaces, sensors and system accessories). If the Customer notifies
Jackson Global of any defect within the one year warranty period and, if requested by Jackson Global, returns the defective part(s), Jackson Global
will, at its option, either repair the defective part(s) or provide comparable replacement part(s).
Replacement part(s) for the System provided by Jackson Global or by a vendor approved by Jackson Global, may be new, used, repaired,
reconditioned, and/or made by a different manufacturer.
EXCLUSIONS AND RESTRICTION
This Warranty will be void and Jackson Global and its suppliers will have no responsibility under this Warranty if Jackson Global or its representatives cannot
access any component of the System to inspect, diagnose the problem or repair them System as a result of concealment or inaccessibility of such components
within a building structure.
This Warranty does not cover any damage caused to the product by :
1.
Damage, malfunction or inoperability diagnosed by Jackson Global or a third party approved by Jackson Global due to normal wear and tear,
abuse, misuse, incorrect installation, neglect, accident, interference or environmental factors such as:
(a)
use of incorrect line voltages fuses or circuit breaker;
(b)
failure to install maintain and operate the System pursuant to the operating instructions provided by Jackson Global and the applicable provisions
of the National Electrical Code and of the Safety Standards of Underwriters’s Laboratories;
(c)
use of incompatible devices or accessories;
(d)
improper or insufficient ventilation;
(e)
unauthorized repair or adjustment or alteration;
(f)
vandalism;
(g)
an act of God, such as fire, lightning, flooding, tornado, earthquake, hurricane or other problem beyond Jackson Global’s control; and
(h)
direct exposure to corrosive materials.

On-site labour costs to diagnose issues, remove, repair, replace, adjust, reinstall, and/or reprogram the System or any of its components.
Components and equipment external to the System such as non-Jackson Global lighting and automation system; building wiring audio-visual
equipment, non-Jackson Global rain and sun intensity sensors.
The cost of repairing or replacing other property that is damaged when any System does not work properly, even if the damage is caused
by the System.
THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTIES. ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES INCLUDING
THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED
TO SEVEN YEARS FROM THE DATE OF SHIPMENT, EXCEPT THAT SUCH IMPLIED WARRANTIES ARE LIMITED TO
ONE YEAR FROM THE DATE OF SHIPMENT AS TO THE iONE HOME AUTOMATION COMPONENTS.
NO JACKSON GLOBAL AGENT, EMPLOYEE OR REPRESENTATIVE HAS ANY AUTHORITY TO BIND JACKSON
GLOBAL TO ANY REPRESENTATION OR WARRANTY CONCERNING THE SYSTEM. UNLESS A REPRESENTATION OR
WARRANTY MADE BY AN AGENT, EMPLOYEE OR REPRESENTATIVE IS SPECIFICALLY INCLUDED HEREIN, OR IN
STANDARD PRINTED MATERIALS PROVIDED BY JACKSON GLOBAL.
JACKSON GLOBAL SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMS ANY AND ALL LIABILITY, WHETHER DIRECTLY OR BY WAY OF
INDEMNITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, WHETHER BASED ON BREACH OF CONTRACT, TORT, STRICT OR
PRODUCT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY.
JACKSON GLOBAL’S LIABILITY TO ANY PERSON FOR DAMAGES ARISING FROM ANY DEFECT IN THE SYSTEM
SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE “STANDARD PURCHASE PRICE”, WHICH SHALL MEAN THE LOWER OF (I) THE
PURCHASE PRICE PAID BY THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER AND (II) JACKSON GLOBAL’S STANDARD LIST PURCHASE
PRICE FOR THE MARKET IN WHICH THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE WAS MADE.
