New opening GHM positions itself
in South Africa internationally
It is with great pleasure that we announce the opening of our subsidiary
GHM Messtechnik SA Pty Ltd.
The next step to get closer and give
extra attention to our customers.
With the acquisition of Delta Ohm in Padua, Italy, the GHM
Group is now also active in the areas of environmental measuring technology, microclimate analysis, acoustics, light
measurement and water analysis.

Founded in 2007, GHM Messtechnik continues to grow. With the purchase of the Italian company Delta OHM in
November 2015, the group from Greisinger, Honsberg, Martens and Imtron now has a significant European and
international presences and can now offer new applications with devices for environmental measuring technology.
Delta Ohm in Padua, Italy
With the acquisition of Delta Ohm from the region
of Padua / Venice, the wide offering of GHM has
been expanded with devices for environmental
measurement technology.
This includes complete weather stations and
individual measuring devices for the detection
and evaluation of light, acoustics and vibration.
Devices for the measurement of air quality, air
speed and multifunctional measuring devices –
data loggers for WBGT, microclimate analysis and
environmental and water analysis are now also offered. GHM can now serve and cover the requirements a completely new group of customers.
Delta Ohm was founded in 1978. With its staff of
50 employees, it has developed an outstanding
international reputation in the area of development and production of electronic measuring
devices.
Delta Ohm currently exports to over 40 countries
and thereby offers an international platform for the
other five companies of the GHM Group, which
already enjoyed a nearly worldwide presence
with its own subsidiaries in the Czech Republic,
Denmark and the Netherlands, as well as distribution partners through Europe, in North and South
America, Asia and Africa.

of Delta Ohm are accredited for measurements of
the following physical variables:

▪ Photometry / radiometry

The distribution and company
headquarters at the Erolzheim location
The individual German locations of GHM are spread across Germany,
Greisinger in Regenstauf near Regensburg, Honsberg in Remscheid,
Imtron in Owingen am Bodensee, Martens in Barsbüttel near Hamburg and the small development office of the former T&A in Kassel.
In March 2013 the decision was made to establish a central
company headquarters and distribution location in Erolzheim near
Memmingen in Allgäu and it was opened in the spring of 2014.
GHM Managing Director Dipl.-Ing. Günther Oehler explained the
reasoning behind the decision:
“It is extremely important for our customers to have a central
starting point for all enquiries about the various products within
the GHM Group. Our distribution centre in Erolzheim makes this
possible. Only in this manner can GHM Messtechnik understand
the requirements of our customers and work out optimal solution
proposals.”
Günter Oehler explained why the choice came down to Erolzheim,
where none of the company offices were located:
’It is of enormous importance for GHM to have close proximity
to the industrial centres of Germany. With a distribution centre
in Erolzheim (Lkr. Biberach), we have close proximity to the
industrially strong south west and south east.’
“The functions of Erolzheim are national and international sales,
the seminar and training centre and the company headquarters
of the GHM Messtechnik Group.”
The locations of the individual subsidiaries retain their current form.
They are the centres of competence (COC) for their area of specialisation and have separate product development and production with
materials management.
Greisinger specialises in handheld measuring devices and simple
industrial measurement technology, Honsberg is the competence
centre for flow rate measurement and mechanical fill level measurement, Martens has its strengths in industrial electronics and process
measurement technology, Imtron is competent in highly complex
high-end measurement data recording systems and testing devices,
T&A is the control technology expert and Delta Ohm is the expert for
environmental measurement technology. The individual companies
are presented below.

Greisinger location
Imtron location
Established 35 years ago, the company
originally developed and produced high
quality sensors. They were the company’s
nucleus from which the product range
was soon expanded to include handheld
measuring devices that would give the
company a good name in laboratories for
research, development and production.
Greisinger is a competence centre for
handheld measuring devices for temperature, pressure, conductivity, pH / Redox,
air and material humidity, flow, oxygen
and CO. Over the course of time, measuring transducers, data loggers, measurement displays and EASYBus products
were added. The high product quality
’Made in Germany’ is achieved using the
latest machinery, equipment and production processes.
Since it was founded as an engineering
office in April 1984, the company has now
become a recognised supplier of measurement components and systems for
industrial applications in development,
production and system testing. The company’s signal conditioning and measurement data recording systems are used by
companies such as ABB, Astrium, Daimler,
ESA, VW, ZF etc. for the processing and
detection of physical parameters such
as pressure, temperature, path, angle,
current, voltage, torque, etc. The devices
and corresponding software are used in
stationary test stands in the automotive
industry and machine construction, in
the monitoring of regenerative energy
production, as well as mobile applications such as test runs by automobile
manufacturers and for test flights. The
DASIM system has developed into an
all-purpose system for measurement data
preparation.
Honsberg location
Founded in 1961 as a family owned and
operated company, Honsberg Instruments GmbH established an excellent
position in the area of measuring and
monitoring technology for flow rate
and level measurement. Activities in
Remscheid are focussed on research,
development, production and service.
Sales take place centrally though the GHM
company headquarters in Erolzheim. The
products of Honsberg are used in the
machinery industry, for the monitoring
of cooling circuits, in construction vehicles, compressors, construction machinery and in machine tools and cooling
systems.
Martens location
The company founded in 1987 in Barsbüttel
near Hamburg develops and produces
digital displays, measuring transducers,
sensors and evaluation devices for process
measurement technology. This technology
is used by the food and pharmaceutical
industries, in particular. Nearly all physical
and electrical variables can be measured.
The broad diversity of products and measured variables is also reflected in the group
of customers, which varies from building
technology to system construction to the
pharmaceutical industry. Martens also
provides optimised devices produced
according to customer requirements.
T&A location
The companies Withof, Philips and PMA
from Kassel have delivered high-quality
control technology components for
more than 80 years. Since 2010, T&A
Telemetrie & Automation, founded by
former employees of Philips / PMA, has
carried on this tradition and develops
and produces high quality and innovative regulators, devices and systems.
The product range of T&A Telemetrie &
Automation, which has been a part
of the GHM group since 2014, comprises regulators ranging from simple
1-channel regulators to regulators
with programming functions to multifunctional regulations such as the new
GHM-ONE. The regulator generations
of the future are developed based on
more than 60 years of experience in
regulator competence.
Summary
The GHM Messtechnik Group develops and produces its highquality products in the various locations (centres of competence).
With approximately 270 employees and more than 35 developers
in seven locations – Erolzheim, Regenstauf, Remscheid, Barsbüttel,
Owingen, Kassel and now Padua – GHM is capable of offering
a complete product portfolio for the widest range of requirements.
The products of Delta Ohm will continue to be sold through the
international Delta Ohm Sales in Padua, Italy with future supporting
distribution from the GHM Distribution and Training Centre established in Erolzheim in 2014.
