Get a bus ticket
Q. ‘How can I get a highway bus ticket?’
A. You can get a Highway bus ticket at the Co-op as well as at Beppu KITAHAMA Bus Center.
After you get the ticket, please do not forget to book a seat.
Q. ‘How can I book a seat?’
A. [STEP 1]
Visit the following website for the phone number and the bus schedule. By the way, you will take the
‘とよのくに Toyonokuni’ bus to get to the Fukuoka Airport International Terminal.

Either 1) call the number on the website or 2) go to Beppu KITAHANA Bus Center ‘北浜バス
センター’ which is located at the opposite side of TOKIWA Department Store in Kitahama for
booking. If you need a help in Japanese, please ask you buddy:-)

FYI, it is cheaper to get FOUR ‘とよのくに Toyonokuni’ bus tickets together (in a form of booklet of
4 tickets) than getting a regular one-way ticket which usually cost you 3,100yen. While a booklet of 4
tickets cost you 8,000yen, hence it’s 2,000yen per person if you share it with your friends!

Plan ahead how you go to a highway bus stop with your luggage!
Q. ‘How can I get to the highway bus stop?’
A. There are 3 ways to get to the highway bus stop.
[Option 1]
Walk up the stairs to Beppu/APU 高速別府湾 APU highway bus stop.
Be prepared to sweat and wish you good luck!!
[Option 2]
Arrange taxi yourselves and go to 高速別府湾 APU bus stop. ⇒ Recommended!
It will cost you about 1000yen. Call MINATO-Taxi, 0977-23-5115
Please inform the Academic Office by August 1st 16:30, if you need help in arranging a taxi.
[Option 3]
Take a bus to 別府北浜 Beppu Kitahama and get a bus at a bus stop in front of TOKIWA Starbucks.
NOTE
A bus stop for highway bus to Fukuoka is different from the one you got down at when you came to
APU in early June.

When you check-out AP House…
1. Items to be returned
Please return the following items to the AP House Security Office when you check-out ;○ Room key/Swipe card
○ Utensils: mug, fork, spoon, plate
○ Towels: 2 bath towels and 2 face towels
○ Coat hangers
○ Bedding sheet

2. Inspection of your AP House Room
The AP House Security Office staff will be checking your rooms before you check out. Even if you
are leaving early in the morning, the final room check has to take place before you check out. However,
the Security Office may be able to accommodate your special needs if you would like to arrange the
inspection earlier due to early departure. Please consult with the Security Office directly for the
arrangement.
