Follow Steps 3 to 5 above Mass Assign Home Rooms by Grade Menu Path: School > School Information > Mass Assignments > Mass Homeroom Assignments > Mass Homeroom by Grade Use this form to assign homerooms to students based on the grade they are in. Follow these steps to assign homerooms to grades: 1. Be Sure you select Current Year 2. Choose to assign alphabetically or randomly. 3. Choose the Grade. The total number of students for that grade displays. 4. Choose which semester or choose All semesters. 5. Enter the maximum number of students to be assigned to each HR class. The Total Classes field auto-populates based on the total number of students and the Class Size. 6. Click on the Populate Class List The Class Numbers column auto-populates. 7. Select the Semester 1 HRM. If the homeroom for semester 2 is the same as semester 1 then click the Copy Homerooms button, but be sure the Total Classes and Class Size fields don't clear. If they do, just put in the class size again and continue. 8. Select the Semester 1 HRM. If the homeroom for semester 2 is the same as semester 1 then click the Copy Homerooms button, but be sure the Total Classes and Class Size fields don't clear. If they do, just put in the class size again and continue. 9. Click the Assign Homerooms button 10. Click the Save button and continue setting up homerooms for another grade. Mass Assign Home Rooms by Period To use this feature requres considerable setup including courses attached to a specific period. It is not recommended you plan to use this method of home room assignments. Methods to Assign Home Rooms in Current Year FOR Next Year Assigning Next Year Homerooms using the Pre-Transition List Menu: School > Pre Transition > Pre-Transition List 1. The Student Transition List screen opens. 2. Click the Gr. Column header to sort the list by grade. 3. Click the Nx Hrm1 and Nx Hrm2 fields for the student and enter the desired Home Room codes. 4.
