Colour proofs Inks For colour proofs Strålfors use EPSON Stylus Pro 7880 plotter, working with EFI ColorProof XF system. To render the print effect better with a maximum reality for various printing bases, profiles simulating offset print on various kinds of paper are created. Strålfors uses inks from well-known producers. These inks are manufactured in accordance with the recommendations of EuPIA “Good Manufacturing Practices for the Production of Packaging Inks for printing formulated for use on the non food contact surfaces of food packaging and articles”. The Ink-suppliers are ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certified. A physical and/or electronic document are produced in order to establish what is agreed between the parties. Strålfors sends proof documentation and the Customers needs to control spelling, fonts, colours, placing of print etc. Strålfors are not responsible for errors that are not corrected in the proof. One physical proof is included in the order, unless otherwise is agreed in the Customer Assignment. Additional proofs are debited if Strålfors received wrong or incomplete information Production will not start until approved proof has reached Strålfors, as a signed sheet or e-mail with approval. CTP CTP (computer-to-plate) technology is recommended for an ideal transfer of tonal values. It eliminates block mounting phase, and due to this, it reduces the possibility of errors and shortens the time of preparation for printing. Additionally it increases exposure precision and ensures bigger repeatability of overprint. Therefore Strålfors produces all printed matters with CTP. For preparing plates, we use SCREEN PlateRite 4300 imagesetter. For most production runs we use classic round shaped raster with screening resolution of 2400 dpi. Certificates Strålfors meets the criteria set by scandinavian organization Nordic Ecolabeling and the SWAN ecological labeling. Strålfors is certified according to ISO 9001 and 14001.
