GENERAL INFORMATION This fuel injection compensator works in a way similar to increasing jet sizes on a carburettor bike. Here, you have 8 sequential increases in jet size, with the option to use the trim facility to obtain 0-100% variability between each step. The control module is supplied set at the default setting No.3 with zero trim (blue dial turned fully clockwise) to fit and ride now. For most bikes running standard exhaust and air filters this is the preferred setting to keep. For Moto Guzzi Breva /Norge/Sport and Ducati models, please take care to identify the correct connection plugs by tracing the lead from the Lambda sensors using fingertips to the plugs on the main wiring harness, as there are similar connector plugs in close proximity serving other devices. The 60cm leads on the module will enable mounting the unit away from the engine area and behind a side cover panel for example. A small bundle of zip ties are included in the package to secure the cable runs. For the Late Moto Guzzi V750 range of bikes, the 2-in-1 module fits in the space behind the left hand (starter motor side) side cover. The 2 x 20cm leads connect to the lambda plugs for the left hand cylinder. Route the 2 x 50cm leads across to the right hand side carefully fixing the cable pair with the zip ties provided to give a neat unobtrusive run. Connect the leads as per the left hand set to serve the right hand cylinder. For 2006-2010 single lambda installations, see the attached pictorial fitting guide. Moto Guzzi Griso 1100 -1200 / Bellagio 940 / California / Breva / Early Stelvio / Norge / V1200 Sport: The module is positioned in the underseat storage space and the 2 x 55cm leads are routed inside the frame rails down to the left hand side of the bike to be connected to the lambda connectors, these are near or usually tucked behind the starter motor. Remove the starter motor external ABS cover to gain access to ease the connectors out rearwards to fit the module leads. You may have to snip through the existing zip tie on the leads to enable easier access. Moto Guzzi Late models of Stelvio / NTX: The Universal 2-in I module is positioned in the underseat storage area. Follow the instructions above for the left hand lambda installation using the 2 x 55cm leads. For the right hand cylinder lambda, these pair of connectors are located just below the top frame rail in the space behind the right hand side cover. Use the 2 x 22cm leads to plug into these connectors. Having Connected the control module, start the engine. When warmed up, ride the bike under varying road and load conditions for at least 10 miles. The lambda sensor responds to the changes best by riding on a steady throttle opening between 3-4000 rpm. This will enable the ecu to adapt to the closed loop mixture enrichment more rapidly. The Dual 2-in-1 8 Jet Module is illustrated here. The Single Module has a more compact ABS enclosure and is fitted with a pair of 20cm leads only for V750 models and a pair of 60cm leads for all other single lambda models 750-1200CC Single Lambda V750 Classic Example Remove the Left Hand side cover Fit the single 8 Jet module here FIG.3 SHOWS THE LAMBDA SENSOR CONNECTION POINT LATE MODEL V750 BIKES STANDARD 8 JET 2-in1 MODULE FITTING PLACEMENT Follow the steps in the text guide for cable routing. STELVIO – NTX MODULE LOCATION Fig. 1 and 2: Place the module under the airbox snorkel to fit snug between rear mudguard and the underside of the air inlet. Fig. 3: Run the 2 X 25 cm leads to the Lambda connectors behind the right hand side panel and plug in to the pair on the bike Fig. 4: Route the 2 X 65cm leads down to the pair of Lambda connectors located behind the starter motor. Remove the starter motor ABS shield and ease the connectors out rearwards. Snip through the cable tie to part the pair. Connect the leads and use the zip ties provided to route the leads clear of the gearchange linkage rod and secure the cables. SETTING UP THE 8 JET MODLE PCB For increasing settings from the default position, use a fine tip electrical screwdriver to move the switches and to adjust the trimmer anti-clockwise to decrease the ratio of air to fuel, but always use a higher switch value instead of running maximum trim to get the best accuracy and stability. Switch positions 2-5 will be the most frequent area used on these bikes, and running at too high an enrichment setting, can trigger an engine management warning light, indicating that the lambda signal is out of range and the switch setting in use should be reduced to bring it back below the warning indication threshold at the next available stop. This is not an emergency stop situation or harming your engine-ecu, it is only a service warning that will re-set to normal automatically when you stop and re-start your bike. SINGLE 8 JET MODULE GENERIC IMAGE 750 AND UNIVERSAL 2-IN-1 8 JET MODULE GENERIC IMAGE PRODUCT AFTER SALES SUPPORT All support requests are processed and will receive attention within 1 - 12 hrs of direct or secure contact email. The products are carefully monitored by appointed customer test riders on all models this product is offered for. *Statutory Note These products are protected by the paypal purchase returns service should you not be satisfied with performance within 30 days of ordering your 8 Jet units. As a small co-operative of Moto Guzzi enthusiasts and engineers, we will always attempt To resolve any issues amicably to correct your bikes running problems before issuing a refund. When ordering this product, you acknowledged that this aftermarket accessory is fitted by you at your own risk. They are an external low voltage device that will not harm your engine or ecu, either mechanically as this product does not weaken, but only enriches the air fuel ratio, or electronically when using the 8 switch matrix and trimmer as stated in the setting up guide. Electronically, this device contains a high accuracy low frequency voltage impedance network circuit. This will never output a higher voltage than one directly derived from the lambda sensor connected externally from the ecu. Tampering is not advisable. Should any defect occur with the product, it will be replaced free of charge on return if there is no evidence of misuse or mechanical damage to the cables and hardware.
