GETTING STARTED
iLead provides students the flexibility to choose workshop sessions on various
communication and leadership topics that align with your individual interests and schedule.
HERE’S HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
• Register online at http://ccl.ucsd.edu/registration/
• Start attending workshops! At your first session, ask for an ‘iLead Stamp Card’ and start
collecting stamps. Most workshops are worth 1 stamp, but select events are worth 2 stamps.
• Collect 10 stamps to complete the program.
• For more information on submitting your completed iLead Stamp Card, please visit the
Center for Student Involvement, on the third floor of Price Center East.

This workshop helps students better manage their stress by learning
about the nature of stress, the relationship between stress and
performance, how to identify common stressors and the signs of stress,
and how to reduce stress and keep it at a balanced level. The workshop
will include a live demonstration of a progressive muscle relaxation
activity!

Aikido for Conflict Prevention

In this workshop students will learn about understanding
conflict, how it happens, and preventative strategies
to manage disputes. Students will learn to transform
conflict from any area of your life; roommates, work, family,
relationships into a life learning opportunity. They will also
learn how perception plays a role in conflict and in resolution.

Communicating Love and Appreciation in
Relationships (2 Stamp Event)

How do you tell people in your life that you love and appreciate
them? Learn about the power of appreciating others. Using
Gary Chapman’s Five Love Languages, participants will learn
about the different styles for giving and receiving love, learn
about cultural differences in expressing love and appreciation,
identify their own primary ʺlove language,ʺ and gain insight
into the love languages of parents, friends and partners.
After taking this workshop you will be better able to show
important people in your life that you care in a way that they
will understand.
