Offer should be valid for acceptance, for 45 days from due date of submission of offer.

The price should be quoted on F.O.R basis inclusive of packing and forwarding, taxes, excise duties, freight etc. However if it is separate, it should be clearly mentioned in the quotation.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
150KL BUTTER MILK STORAGE SILO
1.0 SCOPE OF SUPPLY
Supply of 150 KL Vertical Milk Storage Silo with side entry agitator.
2.0 FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS
The milk silo shall be used to store chilled raw / pasteurized milk or butter milk at 4-6 C temperature and shall be used for curd formation or culturing.
It shall install outside. The stored milk or butter milk Temperature shall not increase more than 1 deg C in 24 storage hours.
3.0 DESIGN REQUIREMENTS
Capacity: 1, 50,000 Liters .
The volume of the tank shall be such that after filling it up to the rated Capacity, the level would be
100 mm below the line where cylindrical Shell joins the conical top so that spray ball should not touch the product in any case when the level is 1,50,000 Liters.
Constructional Features :
The tank shall be double walled, Insulated and welded construction of Sanitary design. The vessel configuration shall be vertical, cylindrical and shall be placed outside. Hence all the top accessories shall be weather proof.
Slope :
The bottom of the silo shall have 1:15 slope towards inlet cum outlet for Free and complete drainage of liquid.
Metal Contact :
The only metal-to-metal contact between the inner and outer shells shall be at the places where fittings for the tank are provided. At the places where mild steel stiffeners are provided, insulated padding shall be fixed between the inner stainless steel shell and stiffeners.

Joint Curvatures :
The radius of all welded and permanent attachment joints shall be at Least 6 mm. where the conical top and flat bottom join the cylindrical shell and radius shall not be less than 25 mm.
4.0 Material of Construction:
Thickness of the silo shall be as under,
4.1 Inner slopping bottom: 5mm, AISI 304.
4.2 Inner Cylindrical Shell:
Up to 3M height: 5 mm, AISI 304
From 3M to 6M: 4 mm, AISI 304
Above 6M: 3 mm, AISI 304
4.3 Inner conical top: 4 mm, AISI 304.
4.4 Outer Cylindrical Shell:
Up to 3M height: 3 mm, AISI 304
Above 3M height: 2 mm, AISI 304
4.5 Outer conical top: 3 mm, AISI 304.
4.6 SS Alcove: 3 mm, AISI 304.
5.0 Insulation:
The entire inner shell and conical top shall be insulated with PUF Injection of 115mm thickness having density of 45-50 Kg/m3.
The Bottom shall be insulated with PUF Injection having density of 65-70 Kg/m3.
Suitable stiffeners shall be provided as per approved design. All the cladding joints shall be welded in design. The bottom channel shall be grouted after installation, so that there is no gap between the bottom channel & the bottom cladded shell, in order to avoid rusting at latter stage.
6.0
Accessories
A) Alcove:
The alcove arrangement shall be of size 1800 mm X 1500 mm and projecting 900 mm from the silo.
The alcove shall accommodate thermometer pocket, level transmitter, inlet cum outlet, low level switch, sampling cock and man-way. The Alcove shall be provided in welded construction.

D) Air Vent:
Stainless steel (AISI 304) 450 mm dia. air vent to Prevent formation of particle vacuum during CIP and pressure during filling. Stainless steel (AISI304) bracket shall be provided near the air vent for fixing and hanging rope ladder.==== 1 No.
E) Man-way:
Stainless steel (AISI 304) side elliptical man-way of 405mm x 550mm Diameter and located at the bottom of the silo and provided with air tight hinged insulated stainless steel (AISI 304) door with tightening and locking device. The cover shall be proved with stainless steel (AISI 304) anti plash guard. The man-way shall be flush type & shall be such that at the time of CIP it gets cleaned thoroughly by Putting it inverted. ==== 1 No.
F) Bottom:
MS bottom structure support with PUF injection shall be provided. Bottom closing plate shall be of
5mm thick & channel ring shall be made From ISMC 150x75mm. There shall be Lifting Lug of
25mm thickness at the bottom (1 No.).
G) Light/Sight Glass:
1 No. Stainless steel (AISI 304) light/sight glass of 140mm assembly shall be provided with toughened glass and stainless steel lamp- shade for Mounting LED BULB & push button so that as and when the Operator has to see the level he can do so by pushing on the push Button. The SS

H) Spray Ball:
Opening for the CIP inlet (based on the CIP nozzle) with cleaning turbine at the center shall be provided. The silo shall be provided with the cleaning turbine at the top cone. The turbine should have stainless steel Unions at the outer end connections(Make : Alfa Laval / Gea). – 1 No. CIP of the silo should ensure proper cleaning of side, top shell, agitator & manhole.

It shall be calibrated at 1000Ltrs. Interval provided on the inner shall at Opposite side of sight glass.
J) Sampling cock :
It shall be provided on man hole, It shall be stainless steel constructions of sanitary design.
It shall be ensured that there shall not be any leakage when the silo is completed filled. ==== 1 No.
K) Thermo well:
300 mm long stainless steel (AISI 304) inclined pocket suitable for Monitoring temperature of milk.
It shall be suitably located in the alcove. Necessary temperature transmitter shall be provided.
L) Provision for Level Probes socket:
Provision for low & high level probe shall be made (1” BSP Sockets).
These shall be suitable to house Level switches -2 Nos. of E & H Make.===2 Nos.
M) Provision for Level Transmitter:
DN 80 DRD Flange shall be provided for the Mounting Level Transmitter.
N) Lifting Lug:
Stainless steel (AISI 304) lifting lugs, 25mm thick shall be provided at top. ==== 4 Nos.
O) Stiffeners:
Necessary stiffeners shall be provided and fabricated from MS. Bottom Structure support shall be provided and fabricated from MS. Stiffeners are to be made sufficient to minimize the bending effect on bottom plate.

P) Paintings:
All the mild steel stiffeners used in the construction of the silo shall be Painted with two coats of epoxy primer after thorough de-rusting.
Q) Railing:
The necessary railing of 1000mm height in SS 304 shall be provided with the help of 1.6mm thick pipes. The toe guard of 3mm thick x 100mm width in SS 304 shall also be provided.
7. TESTS
The following tests shall be conducted by the SUPPLIER at works only.
_ Dye penetration test for weld joints.
_ Water fill-up test of inner vessel for water tightness before insulation.
_ Final inspection prior to dispatch including agitator trial needs to be Provided.
_ When man-way is closed and covered tightened without gasket then the gap at any place between the man-way neck and cover shall not exceed 0.5mm.
