Thus far, in 2003, Michelle has been named the Big East Defensive Player of the week three times and is on the Missouri Athletic Club’s Herman Trophy watch list. In 2002, Michelle was named a third team NSCAA All-American, All-Big East second team performer, and named to the NSCAA All Mid-Atlantic Region first team. CP: Who is your favorite athlete and why? MB: Kristine Lilly because of the way she plays, her dedication to the game itself, leadership and presence on the field. Oh, and she wears number 13. CP: What is your favorite book? CP: What kind of music do you listen to? MB: Country. CP: How long have you been playing soccer? Did you play any other sports growing up? MB: 17 years. I also played softball, basketball, and lacrosse. CP: What has been the highlight of your collegiate career, thus far? MB: Being picked as an All-American and being chosen to play in the NCAA Tournament. Happy Birthday! CP: What goals did you have for yourself prior to the start of the soccer season? CP: Do you have hopes of someday being asked to try-out for the National Team or World Cup Team? MB: Yes, definitely! “Work hard on and off the field. Use the love of your parents to motivate you.” ~Michelle Biehl, #13 Meet Quarterback Joe Casamento Joe Casamento, #16 Junior, Quarterback Fabius, NY Joe Casamento took over the role of starting quarterback after Brett Gordon graduated in 2003. Thus far in 2003, Joe has played in 7 games, completed 159 passes for 1627 yards and 13 TD’s. CP: Who is your favorite athlete and why? JC: Michael Jordan because of his competitiveness and drive to always be the best. CP: What is your favorite movie? CP: What kind of music do you listen to? JC: Pulp Fiction. JC: Heavy Metal and Hard Rock. CP: How long have you been playing football? Did you play any other sports growing up? JC: Since the 7th grade. I also played basketball, lacrosse, and track. CP: How long have you been a QB? Do you enjoy the responsibility that comes with being the QB? JC: My dad was QB coach at Hamilton College. I enjoy it. The toughest challenge you can get yourself into. CP: What has been the highlight of your collegiate career, thus far? JC: Beating Temple at the Linc. CP: What goals did you have for yourself prior to the start of the football season? JC: To put the team in position to win every game; a position to help the team win; and never give up. CP: Following either graduation or a professional career what do you want to do? How do you plan to use your Villanova degree? JC: I like being around people and not behind a desk. Cat got together on a beautiful Sunday afternoon on October 19th to celebrate a new Cat Pack year and to root the Lady Wildcats Soccer team onto victory. “Cat Packers” received their Cat Pack Kits, official Cat Pack T-Shirt, and a special treat prior to the game. They were also surprised to see Wil D. Cat arrive for the party. At 1pm, the Cat Pack Party Complex to watch the Lady of West Virginia. After a the game ended in a tie, 0-0. could not help the Lady Wild- headed into the Villanova Soccer Wildcats take on the Mountaineers long, hard fought battle and 2OT’s, The “Cat Packers” loud cheers cats put the ball into the net. Following the end of the her Assistants, Jim McGirr the Cat Pack. Members of you to Lindsey Finnegan, Loyden, Jamie Weist, Athena their time following the something about each of the soccer! game, Head Coach, Ann Clifton and and Brian Herr provided a clinic to the team also helped out.
