ERA-GLONASS IVS connector - pin assignment and form factor Version 0.5, 5.02.2012 Introduction This document describes the structure of signals that must be implemented in a connector to connect the IVS ERA-GLONASS to the onboard vehicle network. For each signal, given the signal name, a description of the signal and sign the mandatory signal for implementation. Connector IVS can be installed by the manufacturer of the vehicle on the assembly line to allow connection of IVS’s installed in the configuration of additional hardware in the future. Connector IVS contains signals that should be used (mandatory signal) or can be used (not mandatory signals) IVS for communication with the automotive system. Since simultaneously with the connection and can be installed cables to connect a microphone, User Interface Module (UIM), provides the appropriate signals. The physical connection interface UIM is not defined - reserved 4 signals. If necessary, signals gpio3 ... gpio5 can be used to connect additional devices. The same signals may also be used to connect USB. The composition of the realized signals and the type of USB (USB host, USB device) determines the manufacturer of the vehicle. 1. This functionality should be implemented either through the use of signal 37 (ignition), or through the use of signals 13 and 14 (CAN L1, CAN H1). (2) - Functionality “ mute sound ” is mandatory to implement on the side of the vehicle. This functionality should be implemented through the use of the 35 (radio_mute), or through the use of signals 13 and 14 (CAN L1, CAN H1). (3) - Pin 10 (gpio_1) recommend that you use to connect a signal about the accident, if the signal is implemented in the car. (4) - If the contact 12 is present in the socket, then use the protocol ISO 9141-2. If contact 12 is not in the socket, then use SAE J1850 VPW (contacts 35 and 19) or SAE J1850 PWM (contacts 9, 19 and 34).
