Bauderflex System
BAUDERFLEX SELF ADHESIVE / TORCH APPLIED SYSTEM
When a Reinforced Bitumen Membrane waterproofing system is required for projects with a limited
budget on combustible decks, this version of the Bauderflex system provides the ideal solution. The
quality and performance of the membranes may not be up to the standard of our Bauder Total Roof
System, but they are still of a higher specification than some manufacturer’s leading systems.
Bauder K4E Cap Sheet is a robust
torch bonded, SBS elastomeric
bitumen membrane, which incorporates
a high tensile polyester reinforcement
and expandable graphite fire retardant.
K4E is finished in mineral chippings to
provide UV protection, and is available in
Natural slate, charcoal grey or brown.
BauderTEC SPRINT DUO Underlayer
is an elastomeric self-adhesive bitumen
membrane that is reinforced with glass
fibre lattice. It is ideal for fast application
to BauderPIR FA-TE insulation, PIR
Tapered insulation, or timber deck
substrates in cold or inverted roof
design.
BauderPIR FA-TE Insulation is
highly thermally efficient, lightweight,
fire resistant and zero ODP rated. The
insulation has aluminium foil
facings on both sides for improved
thermal conductivity, and maximum
adhesion to the stripes of the
BauderTHERM DS1 DUO vapour barrier,
and the self-adhesive underlayer.
BauderTHERM DS1 DUO Vapour
Barrier is a self-adhesive, aluminium
lined membrane with torch-activated
bonding stripes on the upper surface for
quick and easy bonding of insulation.
This is the preferred option for use on
combustible deck surfaces.
When to Specify
The system is equally suited to both new build and refurbishment applications, particularly when
applying to combustible deck surfaces. It is robust and durable enough to withstand foot traffic and
most permanently sited plant. It can be used in both warm and cold roof designs on all normal deck
types. The underlayer and capsheet can be used in an Inverted Roof construction, incorporating
BauderJFRI insulation.
