Housing schemes for adults with learning disabilities
Delos has a range of supported accommodation options for people with
learning disabilities located in Wellingborough, Northampton and Corby.
What tenants can expect
increased social confidence and expanded social networks
support with person centred planning
future housing options generated and linked to partnership working
access to structured training and educational opportunities
maximisation of welfare entitlements
signposting for work and voluntary placements
peer support for building capacity, engagement and confidence
for some a period of stability and associated security/safety/belonging
for others, a short/medium term platform for move-on to self contained living
How does this work for you?
you will be able to visit the scheme to meet other tenants and staff
you will be able to tell us about yourself so that we can support you to develop a
personal plan that describes your goals and ambitions
you can work with a link worker who will get to know you well
you can have a buddy/friend who can support you
we can support you to get your full benefit entitlements
you will be supported to be part of your community
you will be supported to look for other housing options if/when you feel it is time to
move on
In addition to the core support provided in the supported accommodation,
all Delos service users can access specialist support from our Community
Connecting service where funding is agreed.
Winstanley Road - located in the heart of Wellingborough,
Winstanley Road provides support to nine adults with learning
disabilities across three adjoining properties. Additional 1:1
hours are available to tenants via personal budgets.
Griffiths Court - working in partnership with ASRA
Housing Association and Northamptonshire County Council,
Griffiths Court consists of nine individual flats in Wellingborough
providing core hours support, sleep in cover and 24 hour
on-call service. Additional 1:1 hours are also available to
tenants via personal budgets.
Lowry Close - provides support for nine people within
three linked dwellings as part of a new housing development
in Corby. Tenants will be supported by a dedicated team
providing core support, sleep in cover and additional 1:1
support where funded.
Buttermere - in partnership with Places for People and
Northamptonshire County Council the service provides
support to six individuals across two adjoining houses.
Additional 1:1 support is also available on an individual basis
via personal budgets.
Whitehills - working in partnership with ASRA Housing,
Whitehills is an expansive shared bungalow for up to five
people in Northampton. Core hours support, sleep in cover
and 24 hour on-call service provided. Additional 1:1 hours
are also available to tenants where funded.
