LED Fixture Installation Instructions
Read all instructions and warnings prior to installation because of the unique
nature of LED lighting. Please read this entire document prior to conducting any
installation. Failure to read all warnings can result in personal injury or property
damage. Installation and service of LED fixture shall be performed by a qualified
and licensed electrician. Cleaning of the fixture should be performed if dirt is
visible on the optics or debris is found in between the heat sink fins. To clean,
use a mild soap in warm water. Do not use any chemicals containing chlorine as
this can damage the optical lenses.
Removal of Old Fixture
Safely remove and discard old fixture. Take care not to damage the surface the
old fixture was mounted on, as the new LED fixture will require a clean and
suitable structure on which to mount. In some cases, you may need to remove
old gaskets and sealants. Take precaution not to gouge this surface as the new
LED fixture will need a smooth surface on which to seal against.
Installation of New Fixture
Refer to the installation guide on how the fixture is to be installed in the field.
Take special care to ensure that all gasketing is sufficient to protect the light
fixture from any water damage.
WARNING: Risk of Product Damage
LED Fixtures require adequate ventilation in order to ensure longevity of the
product. Do not allow anything to cover the heat fins on the fixture body in
the end use application. Do not place LED light fixture in an enclosure which
restricts the flow of air across the heat fins.
All parts of the LED fixture were packaged such that no parts would be
damaged during shipment of the product. Prior to installation, please inspect
the packaging and all parts to ensure that nothing was damaged or missing.
Replacement parts are available through your local sales representative. Do
not install damaged product.
WARNING: Risk of Electric Shock
Disconnect all power (using LOTO procedures) before installing or performing
any service on the LED fixture. LED fixtures can range in input voltage from
100V to 480V. Using a meter, ensure that voltages present are suitable for the
fixture ordered. If you are not sure if the fixture can operate at the supplied
voltage, consult your local sales representative. All electrical connections shall
be made in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and any local
code restrictions.
WARNING: Risk of Fire
Ensure that the installation is placed where combustible materials will not
come within direct contact of the LED fixture.
