Due to unprecedented traffic volumes expected for the Presidential Inauguration in the
Washington Metropolitan Area, use of Hauling Permits will be restricted as follows:
• NO permit moves allowed in Prince George’s County or Montgomery County on
Monday, January 19th and Tuesday, January 20th 2009.
• Permit moves not requiring escort vehicle(s) will resume normal operations on
Wednesday, January 21st 2009 at noon.
• Normal operations for all others will resume on Thursday, January 22nd 2009.
• Permit moves directly associated with the Inauguration will be considered on a case by
case basis.
• Emergency response moves will be processed in accordance with existing procedures.
