Session II – Winter I
Academy of Whole Learning Chess Club welcomes players of all skill levels in grades 4-12. The
goal of the Chess Club is to enhance each player’s chess skills and to help students gain
knowledge, patience, strategy, and understanding of the game. Eric Bell, a member of the United
States Chess Federation, will be returning to AOWL as the coach of our Chess Club. He is
currently ranked as an expert, with a rating of 2009 (2800 is the best in the world.)
The Winter I Session runs from December 8, 2015 through February 2, 2016 and will be held on
the following Tuesdays after school:

Snack is from 3:00-3:10, Chess Club is from 3:10-4:10
Please pick up your student at 4:10.
Cost: $125.
Payment is due with registration by Tuesday, December 1.
Chess Club is contingent on student enrollment. There must be at least 4 players
registered for the club to run.
