Angle Style Frame - Extruded Angle Frame construction. 2.) Channel Style Frame - Extruded Channel Frame construction. Based on the basic design and rated load, the above frame styles are available in three construction types: 1.) Value construction - Typical frame for pedestrian traffic - rated load 300 lbs/sq. ft. 2.) Standard construction - Typical frame for pedestrian traffic - rated load 300 lbs/sq. ft. 3.) Heavy duty construction - Reinforced frame for occasional truck traffic - rated load H-20 (wheel loading). Features: • All aluminum construction • Stainless steel hardware • Load rating of 300 pounds per square foot • Flush drop handle • Automatic hold-open arm with red vinyl grip • Recessed, tamper resistant padlock assembly (on Standard and Heavy-duty versions). • Single and Double door construction • Stainless steel horizontal compression spring used as lift assist for heavier doors. • 10 year warranty Note: Consult Factory for all-stainless steel constructed access covers Flygt also provides covers having the same features as above but with the addition of Safe-Hatch. Features: • "Safe-Hatch" is designed to combine covering of the opening, fall through protection per OSHA standard 1910.23 and controlled confine space entry per OSHA standard 1910.146. • Doors can not be closed unless the fall through protection has been put back in place (protecting the next worker). • Allows visual inspections, limited maintenance and float adjustment while safety grate is left in place. • Open grates create a physical barrier around the pit, protecting passing pedestrians. • Safety orange color promotes a visual awareness of the hazard. • Quality materials provide superior corrosion resistance (designed to withstand the harsh sewer environment) • Pump platform. Pumps can be pulled from the pit then suspended, the grating closed and the pump set back on the grating. This allows for pump wash downs directly back into the pit. No more EPA clean up due to site contamination. The text or logo is milled into the cover by use of a CNC milling machine.
