Rick seemed like a great guy for the short time I knew him it was an honor. I know that he was loved by you & Joe so he had to be a good man. Sorry we didn''t get moved to Kentucky before he left us, it would have been an honor to meet him. Posted by: Brande Henson Wed December 21, 2011 I have been trying to come up with the appropriate words to express my condolences and feelings on the loss of my best friend and the love of my life. While there are no words to adequately express what I feel, I will add the lyrics of some of his favorite songs. He loved music, all music...from showtunes, to country, to rock to easy listening, sometimes singing with the breath of a passion that surprised even him and sometimes at the top of his lungs and everything in between. He would sing along, sometimes with a precious smile and other times with the music loud and rambunctious. There would be times we would dancing in the living room, or taking my hands from amidst the bread dough I was kneading, and with flour flying, spin around the kitchen as we whirled and dipped. Other times, I would start singing and he would get this look in his eye that said, "Ok, not now" and other times he would roll his eyes and join in with an air guitar.” I loved hearing him sing. He had a wonderful voice and he knew just how to make me melt with the songs of his soul. He is humming in heaven today along with the host of great singers who were just waiting for him to complete the page 1 / 3 Richard Dean Brock Provided by Goad Funeral Home choir. When I listen carefully for the rest of my life, I will hear him in the breezes of a spring morning, the ripple of water as it dances across the rocks on a warm summer’s day and the soft breath a newly fallen snow. Each song will sooth my soul and let me know he is near. Two of our favorites..... Till the Rivers All Run Dry…Don Williams Till the rivers all run dry Till the sun falls from the sky Till life on earth is through I'll be needing you. I know sometimes you may wonder From little things I say and do But there's no need for you to wonder If I need you, 'cause I'll need you. Till the rivers all run dry Till the sun falls from the sky Till life on earth is through I'll be needing you. Too many times I don't tell you Too many things get in the way And even though sometimes I hurt you Still you show me, in every way. Till the rivers all run dry Till the sun falls from the sky Till life on earth is through I'll be needing you... You’re My Best Friend You placed gold on my finger You brought love like I've never known You gave life to our children And to me a reason to go on You're my bread when I'm hungry You're my shelter from troubled winds You're my anchor in life's ocean But most of all, you're my best friend When I need hope and inspiration You're always strong when I'm tired and weak page 2 / 3 Richard Dean Brock Provided by Goad Funeral Home I could search this whole world over You'd still be everything that I need You're my bread when I'm hungry You're my shelter from troubled winds You're my anchor in life's ocean But most of all, you're my best friend You're my bread when I'm hungry You're my shelter from troubled winds You're my anchor in life's ocean But most of all, you're my best friend Always my love, Me....
