ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
Conference Topics
The Smart Cities Mission is an innovative and new initiative by the Government of India to drive economic growth and improve the quality of life of people by enabling
local development and harnessing technology as a means to create smart outcomes for citizens. 'Smart' Solutions are used for a Bold, Impactful, and Strong City
with Good Governance or with its Physical, Social, or Economic Infrastructure. Developing smart visions and solutions requires leveraging all available assets: The
creativity of citizens, the proficiency of experts, the know-how of business and emerging technologies. It's about taking advantage of new tools and partners to
improve the quality of life for residents.
Smart Cities embrace ideas that have been proven elsewhere and customize them to meet genuine local needs. In turn, these efforts serve as exemplars, showing
the way for others to follow. Smart Cities explore, refine, and revise their ideas until they get it right. They are realistic, but they are also optimistic. They aim high.
They tap a range of approaches - digital and information technologies, urban planning best practices, public-private partnerships, and policy change - to make a
difference.
The Conference will deliberate on themes like urbanization and cities, development of smart cities in India, Services like water, electricity, drainage, and energy
supply based on PPP model involving both state/public and private partnership models, State owned/private owned Roads and Transportation types, Urban
environmental issues like water supply and sanitation, solid waste management and disposal, use of recycled water, and role of urban development institutions, etc.
The Conference will provide a common forum to discuss and deliberate some of the most challenging issues, new areas and upcoming technologies with stake
holders who are developing smart cities in the country and abroad. Besides providing a common platform to demonstrate their research capabilities, this
conference is also expected to motivate the participants to deliberate on frontier areas of interdisciplinary fields of Science, Engineering and Technology.
The conference includes plenary sessions, meetings, demos, presentations, projects, posters, exhibitions and solutions. It will give opportunities for one to one
meetings, group discussions and networking. We welcome prospective Authors, Scientists and Professionals to submit their research papers and share their
valuable experiences.
ABOUT BENGALURU
Bangalore, recently renamed as Bengaluru, is the state capital of Karnataka, fifth largest city and one of the most attractive modern cities in India. Bengaluru has
become an amalgam of modernization and development with a hint of its glorious history. The city has forts and palaces from the 16th century that will give you a
clear idea of efficient town planning and splendid architecture observed at the time of some of the earliest dynasties in India. This is demonstrated in the ornately
carved Islamic style arches on the gate walls, in the luxurious palace of Tippu Sultan, Lalbagh with its sprawling greenery and Bugle Rock which stood as a watch
tower for the city. There are a number of places in Bangalore that are worth visiting, including gardens, museums, palaces, temples, etc. One of the major attractions
of the city is Vidhana Soudha, the State Secretariat, adorned with delicate Dravidian architecture.
From education point of view, Bengaluru is very popular. A large number of students come to Bengaluru every year to enroll in the various undergraduate as well as
postgraduate programs. The city also boasts of two excellent institutions, namely Indian Institute of Science and Indian Institute of Management. Bengaluru is also
used by tourists as the base for visiting the other cities of Karnataka. Bengaluru is the most sought out cosmopolitan city in India.
About Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology
Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (Dr. AIT), Bengaluru is one of the premier Engineering Colleges in the state of Karnataka, established in the year 1980 under
the auspices of Panchajanya Vidya Peetha Welfare Trust (PVPWT). The institution has been catering to the needs of students of the country including poor,
