NAMING OF FACILITY
Baldy View Regional Occupational Program (ROP) shall name facilities to acknowledge
events of historical or cultural note; honor individuals who have made outstanding
contributions to education, the community or the nation; or recognize events or locations of
note.
Facilities shall be named in sufficient time to facilitate an orderly planning process.
Existing schools or major facilities shall not be renamed except under extraordinary
circumstances and after thorough study.

Names to be considered will fulfill any one or more of the following purposes:
a.
Acknowledge events of historical note or the cultural heritage of the area.
b.
Signify the geographic area to be served.
c.
Honor individuals who have made outstanding contributions to education, to
the community or to the nation.
Names are not to conflict with those of any other schools in the district or in
neighboring districts.
