Objectifs de la formation / Program Objectives
The main objectives of this teacher training program are to:
• Introduce students to the didactics of teaching English as a foreign
language.
• Prepare them for the labor market, namely the teaching of English.
• Prepare them for post-graduate studies (Master’s).

The purpose of the BA in TESOL program at the English department, Ecole
Normale Supérieure, Rabat, is to prepare DEUG holders in English to
become competent ELT teachers.
The BA in TESOL program aims to help students develop a rich
understanding of the major ELT subject areas: ELT Methodology,
Educational
Psychology,
Educational
Research,
Intercultural
Communication, and Learning Technologies. The BA in TESOL Program also
gives students the opportunity to do microteaching (simulations of real
classroom situations) as well as an internship in real EFL classrooms.
Through the program, students acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and
attitudes required to create an effective learning environment in their
future classrooms.
The program promotes the need and provides the tools for professional
development and social responsibility, recognizing that competent teachers
positively impact their professional and social environment.
This is accomplished in a supportive, respectful, challenging, and
collaborative learning environment that enhances experimentation,
autonomy, and flexibility.
Graduates of the BA in TESOL program are fully prepared to begin their
teaching career or continue in a Master's program.

A four week Practice Teaching in public secondary schools.
Débouchés / Opportunities
The earners of the BA in TESOL may:
• Teach English to speakers of other languages;
• Continue their studies in preparation for a professional Master’s degree.
• Apply for admission at the C.R.M.E.F.
