This new and innovative packaging utilizes a proprietary leadframe over the standard D2PAK MOSFET to advance maximum current and power dissipation, lower thermal resistivity and on-resistance while increased maximum junction temperatures are also possible. The SUM is available in 3 leaded D2PAKs, and also available in 5 leaded D2PAKs when temperature or current sensing is required. In either package, TrenchFET® Power MOSFETs provide industry benchmark performance in low on-resistance for low power consumption. Applications • Automotive and Industrial – The SUM Series’ higher maximum junction temperature and lower thermal resistance allows high power circuits to be used in rugged, harsh environments allowing higher current or lower junction temperature. Optional temperature or current sensing provides extra circuit protection without increasing board space. • Computer and Telecom – Maximum possible current and power dissipation satisfy increasing CPU speeds and power demands while reduced thermal resistance and on-resistance keeps heat down.
