Introduction.....
Serving all of N.E., we provide lighting and grip
packages up to 12-tons; generators from the crystal
Honda 5500w to 1200A blimped sets; as well as studio
and dolly rentals. Our inventory includes the latest
single ended H.M.I. technology from LTM and Arri;
flicker-free electronic H.M.I. ballasts from Power Gem;
quartz lighting from Mole Richardson and Arri; Kino-Flo
fluorescent lighting fixtures; as well as, the latest grip
equipment from American Studio Equipment.
Our lighting and grip trucks are late model cabover
diesels and are outfitted with the latest production equipment handling technology. To efficiently organize our
large equipment packages in their oversized boxes, our
grip trucks are outfitted with Backstage equipment carts,
light hampers (w/ oversized casters), muscle trucks, oversized "cable style" jockey boxes, and custom B-Line shelving. To make loading quick and easy, the trucks feature
extra large "level lift" power tailgates, side doors, and
interior/exterior worklight systems. The trucks are tow
capable and we offer a complete line of sound blimped,
as well as, the more affordable sound attenuated tow
generators. Our trucks come stocked with a complete
inventory of expendable supplies on a pay-as-used basis. We are the only rental company in N.E. to stock
sheets of gels and diffusion on our trucks; and sell gels
and diffusion off the roll by the foot. We are, also, the
only rental company in N.E. to "package discount" the
latest H.M.I. technology. Our 1 to 12-Ton H.M.I. pkgs.
have built-in discounts in excess of 30% off our
competitor's rates. To design a custom package at a
substantial savings, simply add additional instruments at
competitive rates.

naming ScreenLight Productions, Inc., as additionally insured for liability and as an additional loss payee.
2. ScreenLight & Grip can provide insurance against
equipemnt loss or damage. The Lessee is advised to
become familiar with cost and limitations of this policy.
RESERVATIONS
LIABILITY
1. Equipment should be reserved as far in advance as
possible to insure your specific needs. Orders placed
after 12 noon for use the following day are subject to
equipment availability. In such cases ScreenLight & Grip
will inform you if additional charges are necessary in
processing your order.
1. Lessee is invited to inspect all equipment before leaving
our premises. ScreenLight & Grip is not responsible for any
liability, claims, costs or expenses arising from use or
possession of its equipment. The equipment is rented
without warranty or guarantee of any kind, expressed or
implied.
2. Minimum rental period is 1 day. Weekly rate is 4 times daily
rate. Weekend use days are charged at the daily rate.
Equipment is available, by special arrangement, on a
“pay-as-used” basis.
2. Furthermore, not being the manufacturer of its rental
equipment nor manufacturer’s agent, ScreenLight & Grip
makes no warranty or representation, either expressed or
implied, as to the fitness, design or condition of, or as to
the quality or capacity of our rental equipment, nor any
warranty that the rental equipment will satisfy the requirements of any law, rule, specification or contract
which provides for specific equipment or specific methods, it being agreed that all such risks, as between the
Lessor and the Lessee are to be borne by the Lessee at its
sole risk and expense.
3. All orders are considered “reserved” unless otherwise
specified. Should a booking conflict arise regarding equipment that you have “reserved,” we will contact you. You
may then choose to “confirm” or “cancel” your order.
Any “confirmed” order that is subsequently canceled will
be subject to cancellation charges equal to 1/2 days
rental.
4. All prices and specifications are subject to change without notice.
PICK-UP & RETURNS
1. Out-going orders are available for pick-up between 4
pm and 5 pm, Mon.-Fri. Returning orders are accepted
between 9 am and 10 am, Mon.-Fri. Orders can be
picked up and returned at other times by prior agreement. Pick-ups and returns outside normal business hours
may be subject to an off-hours service charge.
LAMP BURN-OUTS
1. There is no charge for lamp burn-outs if the burned out
lamp is returned with the light. Burned out lamps not
returned with the light will be billed.
CREDIT
1. Unless other arrangements are made, it is required to
establish an account with ScreenLight & Grip to rent
equipment. New customers should submit a completed
credit application, allowing ample time for processing.
Rentals without an account are on a cash in advance
basis.
2. Payment on all accounts is Net 30 days. Interest will be
charged at the rate of 1.5 percent per month on the
unpaid balance after 30 days. The Lessee agrees to pay
Lessor’s legal and collection fees in the event of default
on their account.
INSURANCE
1. No equipment will leave the premises of ScreenLight &
Grip without evidence of appropriate insurance. The
Lessee shall, at his own expense, name ScreenLight &
Grip as additionally insured on a genral liability policy of
not less than one million dollars; and insure for the replacement cost all rented equipment and supplies with
an all-risk, all-loss policy. Prior to rental, Lessee shall evidence coverage by providing a certificate of insurance

3. Equipment is rented at the premises of ScreenLight &
Grip. Lessee hereby assumes full responsibility for selecting the mode of delivery of the equipment from Lessor’s
premises to the Lessee; safekeeping the equipment and
keeping the equipment in a state of good condition and
repair, free from damage of any kind whatsoever, including any reasonable charge imposed by the Lessor for
cleaning the equipment; and the safe return date. Lessee agrees to assume full responsiblity and liability for the
safekeeping and return to Lessor’s premises of all items of
equipment, from the time the equipment leaves Lessor’s
premises until it is returned.
4. In the event of loss or damage to rental equipment as a
result of any cause whatsoever, lost or stolen, whether in
transit from or to the Lessors premise, or while in the actual
or constructive possession of Lessee, full rental charges
will be incurred for the period from the scheduled end of
the rental until payment for loss or repairs are completed,
whichever occurs last.
5. Lessee represents that it has the necessary skill and experience to operate equipment provided by Lessor. Lessee
agrees to and does hereby indemnify and hold harmless
Lessor from any and all claims, suits, liability, expense,
damage, causes of action or judgements, including
attorney’s fees, resulting from injury to or death sustained
by any person or persons, including but not limited to
Lessee, any subleases of Lessee, subcontractors and their
respective employees, or damage to property of any
kind, including but not limited to the equipment, which
injury, death, or damage arises out of or is in any way
connected with the use, operation or possession of the
equipment by anyone during the term of the rental and
until the equipment is returned to Lessor, including but
not limited to the failure to repair, maintain or operate the
equipment as required herein. This indemnity is meant to
and does include any such injury, death or damage
arising from any cause whatsoever, including, but not
limited to, any alleged defect in the manufacture and
design of the equipment, and any acts or omissions,
willful misconduct or negligent conduct of Lessor, whether
active or passive.
