Situation update:
Health & Hygiene conditions in the flood hit areas have not been improved yet.
Safe drinking water is the concern since majority of the flood affected areas having chemically
contaminated water.
Community infrastructure need to be rehabilitated in remote villages.
More than 40,000 HHs requires sustainable shelters.
No funded projects to address Protection issues.
Key Humanitarian Challenges:
Due to lack of funding and limited number of Humanitarian organizations with limited
targets/case loads, partners are unable to provide sustainable assistance to worst affected
population.
Being a smaller & newly created district in comparison of other priority districts; T.M Khan seems
not on focus of Humanitarians. However the district was badly affected during 2011 Monsoon
Floods

Sugarcane crops 32% damaged. Overall 55% crops of the district have
been damaged).
22% of the livestock is being sold or lost during rains (MSDNA)

Medical mobile teams for UC 10 of District Tando Muhammad Khan
Health services provide by AKHSP in three union councils (Allahyar Turk, Bhulri Shah
Karim & Ghulam Shah Bagrani) with the provision of one mobile team.
In 16 UCs of Tando Muhammad Khan Hands provided MUS wtin five teams on Antenatal,
Postnatal, Health services, Routine Immunization
