Guadalajara, Jal. - Bosch, a leading provider of technology and services, plays an
important role in the worldwide digital trend. Reason why it took part in the 7th
edition of Campus Party Mexico, held from June 29 to July 3 of the current year at
Expo Guadalajara.
The Company provided all Power Tools for the MakerSpace area so that the campus
people could carry out their projects and showed at its stand the most important and
high-tech innovations developed by the Company thinking of making users' lives
easier, in addition to boosting the connectivity and mobility between things, people,
industries, etc. Besides, three major conferences were conducted by senior
specialized executives from Bosch: Development of simple solutions to complex IoT
problems, the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and Innovation and Mobility.
Likewise, through a press conference attended by: Mr. Gonzalo Simental, Vice
President of Finance, Mr. Eduardo Watty, VP Automotive Sales, and Mr. Rogelio
Cuevas, topics such as the implementation of new business models based on the
Internet, services and solutions migration to digital forms and all that entails for
Bosch to be a digital company were discussed. "It is essential to change our mindset
and encourage innovation within and outside the company", said Watty. As well as
the interest of Bosch in the country and in the city of Guadalajara as an important
center for engineering and technological development, placing Bosch as a major
source of jobs for the specialists in these areas.

Digital transformation in Bosch
In April 2014, Bosch established in this city the Center for the Development of
Engineering and Business Solutions being the first Bosch center of its kind in the
Americas, with the aim of creating a specialized space for software development, IT
infrastructure, application development, business intelligence, and support for
electronic control units and manufacturing automation systems for the Bosch sites in
the region and to support external customers, especially in the automotive industry.
"We must strive to be the primary engine for the creation of innovation for the future
constantly promoting this digital culture in the country", said Simental. This center is
comprised of 200 highly qualified Mexican engineers who have been trained in and
outside Mexico. Bosch expects this figure to rise in the coming years.
Connectivity is a key part of Bosch worldwide, it is the reason why the company
keeps in constant evolution and through Bosch Software Innovation designs,
develops and operates innovative software solutions, sensors and systems for the
Internet of things (IoT). With this, Bosch provides the basis for applying this
technology in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, mobility and energy,
promoting intelligent monitoring systems and controls to make life safer and more
comfortable.
