Application Engineer
Job Title: Application Engineer
Location: Home Based
The Application Engineer role will support the business by providing technical solutions and support for existing and new
customer applications.
Products include: PLC‘s, Servo Drives, Motion Controllers and Human Machine Interface (HMI‘s)
Main Tasks:
ff Working with the Sales teams to provide techical solutions on new applications
ff Provide technical interface between sales and the business unit
ff Work directly with customers to understand their requirements and identify product solutions
ff Develop software solutions for customers
ff Provide concept level proposals for customer applications
ff Develop product training
ff To keep up to date with new product developments in defined industry sector(s) in order to enhance business
decision making
ff Provide techical support for defined products to both internal and external customers
As an Applications Engineer you will need to have the following skills and experience in order to be successful in the
role:
ff HND or Degree qualified within the discipline of Engineering
ff PLC programming
ff Servo drive set up and commissioning
ff Problem solving
ff Ability to work independently and as part of a team
ff Ability to adapt to changing priorities
ff Self motivated
