STRAIN RELIEF BUSHINGS
Heyco invented the strain reliefÑthey
were the first and they're still the best.
In fact, Heyco's consistent high
standards and total quality commitment
have entitled them to become a part of
the CSA "Partnership Concept", allowing
them to self-certify the products they
manufacture.
Heyco strain reliefsÑcost-effective,
reliable protection. Don't settle for less
than the best. For detailed information
about these and other Heyco products,
ask us for the current Heyco catalogue.
STRAIGHT-THRU
Protect the lifeline of your electric
and electronic products by absorbing
the forces of pull, push and twist that
may be exerted on the flexible power
cord. These nylon strain reliefs securely
anchor, insulate and protect cables at
chassis entry points.
Available in both black and white for
flat or round cables. Sizes range from
mounting hole diameters of .375 up to
1.187, and with maximum chassis
thicknesses from .040 up to .281.
Providing the same protection for
your cable as the straight-thru, the right
angle strain relief allows the cable to
exit flush against the chassis, saving
space and directing the cable parallel to
the chassis. Excellent for use where
space is limited. Also acts as a back or
bottom bumper.
Available in black and white nylon for
flat and round cables. Mounting hole
diameters from .437 to 1.093, and
chassis thicknesses from .062 to .125.
Add reliability, longevity and safety to
your product. These are designed to
absorb flex in addition to forces of pull,
push and twist like a standard strain
relief. A flared "trumpet" exit prevents
sharp bending. Use in place of the pigtail, when space is at a premium.
Available in black and white nylon for
both flat and round cables. Mounting
hole diameters range from .375 to .625.

PIGTAIL™
Pigtail strain reliefs (one with an
integral nylon spring and the other with a
separate metal spring) offer the same
features as bell-mouths but are intended
for use where flex protection is critical.
The long spring section eases the cable
into a gentle curve, prohibiting sharp
bends and assuring the longest cable
and product life.
The all-nylon pigtail is available in
black and white, the nylon and metal only
in black. Both are only available for round
cable applications.
METAL
Made of plated steel, exclusively for
round cables. These absorb pull force
only (to help meet UL and CSA requirements). Easily assembled (with recommended hand pliers) to wire and cables
inside the chassis.
FOR EUROPEAN REQUIREMENTS
For those of you dealing with overseas
markets, Heyco also produces a variety
of strain reliefs suitable for meeting
European requirements.

SNAP AND SHORTY BUSHINGS
These nylon bushings convert rawedged holes to smooth, neat, insulated
ones. Special locking "fingers" allow the
bushings to snap into holes with fingertip
pressure. Mechanically protect, insulate,
and isolate telecommunications and
electrical cables, tubing, hose, rope,
utility lines, as well as low RPM shafts
and push-pull rods.
Snap bushings are available in 54 sizes
for use in 1/4" to 4" diameter holes.
Chassis thicknesses range from .040 to
.250. Stocked in both black and white
nylon. Three sizes are also available in
brass colour for lamp and lighting
applications.
Shorty bushings are used for limited
internal clearance (minimum 1/8")
applications. They all have a maximum
chassis thickness of .062. Available in
black or white nylon for 16 standard
mounting hole diameters.
OPEN/CLOSED BUSHINGS
A black nylon bushing that allows side
entry and encirclement of pre-assembled
harnesses, capillary tubes or other units
that have sections larger than the
bushing's ID. They can also be assembled
into holes that already contain cable or
tubing. Fingertip pressure snaps the
bushing into the mounting hole, forming a
complete circle and insulation barrier
against the raw edge of the chassis hole.
UNIVERSAL BUSHINGS
These bushings will absorb vibration,
cushion and insulate cables, tubing, hoses
or shafts. They feature flexible shutters
which adjust to accommodate and support
any shape from 1/8" to a maximum
diameter of 13/16". Easily locked into its
mounting hole with simple fingertip
pressure.
Stocked in six sizes of black nylon.

bushings and other Heyco products,

GROMMETING
Use grommeting to protect tubes, wires
and cables from becoming frayed or cut by
sharp panel edges. Makes bushings for all
sizes and shapes of panel cutouts in sheet
metal, glass, wood panels or other sheetform materials. No tools required-just cut to
size and insert. Depending on the panel
thickness, grommeting may grip tightly by
itself, or it may need a touch of epoxy to
keep it in place.

HEYCO-FLEXª LIQUID TIGHT CONNECTOR/CONDUIT SYSTEM
HEYCO-FLEX I LIQUID TIGHT CONDUIT
This flexible, gray PVC, liquid tight
conduit is suitable for both indoor and
outdoor use. It resists corrosion, abrasion,
oil, water, acid, metal shavings and rough
environments. It also resists abuse, pull
and crushing. A smooth inside allows for
easier wire pulling, with no hazardous
sharp edges or burrs. It may be used with
both the Heyco nylon connectors and
metal connectors. Quickly installed and
easily cut with utility knife or PVC cutter.
Available in seven trade sizes, 3/8"
through 2".
HEYCO-FLEX II LIQUID TIGHT TUBING
The superior flexibility of this tubing
means it can be used in extremely tight
quarters. It's also ideal for fiber optic
cable protection. It resists corrosion, oil
and water and is made of black PVC.
Available in 1/4" through 2" trade sizes.
May be used with snap-in, straight or right
angle Heyco-Flex connectors.
HEYCO-FLEX NYLON CONNECTORS
No disassembly, no threading and the
complete conduit/connector system is
reuseable, too. The economical and smart
alternative.
Simply push the Heyco-Flex tubing or
conduit onto the connector ferrule, then
hand tighten the domed sealing nut.
(No disassembly means no lost parts).
No threading eliminates the possibility of
cutting the tubing/conduit and creating leak
paths. The tubing/conduit will not wind tight
onto the connector during assembly and
can be easily removed by pulling while
turning in a clockwise direction.
The Heyco-Flex nylon connectors resist
refrigerants, weak acids, gasoline, alcohol,
oil, grease and common solvents. Three
styles, straight, right angle and snap-in,
are available in either black or gray.

LIQUID TIGHT FITTINGS FOR FLEXIBLE CORDS
All nylon construction with BUNA-N
compression gland resists salt water,
weak acids, gasoline, alcohol, oil, grease
and common solvents. Fittings install in
either clearance or threaded holes. Acme
threads prevent skipping and speed
installation. The domed sealing nut
resists snags and sheds contaminants.
An internal ratchet provides self-locking
against vibration.
Choose from two different styles:
Straight-thru or Pigtail. The Pigtail has a
flexible extender to prevent sharp bends,
extend cable life. Locknuts are included
with both styles on PG hubs only. To
order separately or for specifications,
see page 85.
Working temperatures: -22¡F (-30¡C)
to 212¡F (100¡C). For short periods to
