INDUSTRIAL GAS CONNECTIONS MADE EASY
To strengthen the Industrial base in Pakistan & specially to comfort our valuable Customers, SNGPL has
embarked upon a new journey to facilitate the Consumers in obtaining Industrial Connections in a
Simplified Step Process.
In addition SNGPL is proud to announce new incentives for the potential consumers located on SNGPL
system in the following ways:
1. Priority of giving connections to premises located on our system.
2. No additional material costs (SMS,TBS etc).
SIMPLIFIED PROCESS

Obtain an application form & fill in all the details (Annex A)
Be careful to differentiate between a Single Proprietor/ Partnership
Ensure to attach all the relevant documents mentioned on the back side
of the application form.
Please ensure to fill in the attached form (Annex B) regarding the Gas
Load/Plant/Machinery/Boilers.
After completing all the above documents, submit it to our
“INDUSTRIAL CUSTOMERS SERVICE CELL”.
REQUIREMENTS FOR INDUSTRIAL CONNECTIONS:
1. SNGPL representative shall physically visit all sites (On Line as well as Not-On- Line) to
determine the status of the premises.
2. It shall be ensured that the actual purpose / trade at the premises is the same as mentioned on the
application form.
3. Meter position shall be designed inside the premises, near the boundary wall and applicant shall
provide SNGPL a direct approach from outside.
4. SNGPL will not process any application or provide connection to a premises where Gas
Connection was previously installed and has been disconnected due to non-payment of the bill or
violation of the contract.
5. In case the premises is located on SNGPL’s existing system, cost of CMS will not be recovered
from the applicant.
6. 1.5 times of actual material cost shall be charged from all the new customers.
7. Security deposit equal to 90 days gas consumption in case of bank guarantee or 60 days in case of
cash deposit shall be received from all new applicants. 2% markup per year will be paid on cash
security.
8. All New Industrial Connections shall be on “ 9 month basis”.
9. In case an Industrial Unit has submitted the Security Deposit & Service Line charges, it shall be
provided a gas connection within 90 days, after signing of contract.
10. In case of shifting of the connection to a new premises, the consumer shall be treated as new
consumer.
11. In case an Industrial unit is located within 2 Km of an existing network economic feasibility of
Impact on Gas Development / Surcharge shall be worked out, and if found economically viable,
the proposed extension shall be laid from Company’s own resources.
12. In case the Industrial unit is not located on our existing system and has negative impact on Gas
Development Surcharge, then 100% cost of Line Pipe extension shall be received from the
applicant, from SNGPL existing Gas main up to the applicant’s premises.
13. In case an Industrial unit is located within 5 Km of an existing network, then SNGPL may request
the applicant to provide a Soft Loan equivalent to the cost of network / infrastructure required,
repayable in 10 years with a markup of 1.5 %, if there is no adverse impact on gas development
surcharge.
CNG CONNECTIONS (ON EXISTING SYSTEM)

Processing of applications for CNG stations shall be subject to issue of CNG Marketing license by
OGRA.
Gas connection to CNG stations shall be provided on 12 month basis.
In case the consumer premises is situated on our existing system, the consumer shall pay 1.5 times
of the actual material cost as Service Line charges.
In case, System Augmentation is required to cater for the load of CNG Station, such augmentation
shall be done on receipt of the cost from the applicant.
The applicant shall be responsible to acquire all License / NOC / Fitness Certificates from OGRA,
HDIP & Explosive Department before gas supply is commissioned.
CNG CONNECTIONS (NOT ON EXISTING SYSTEM)

Gas connections to CNG stations shall be provided on 12 month basis.
In case the consumer premises is not situated on our existing system, the consumer shall pay 100
% cost of line pipe required to be extended.
In case, System Augmentation is required to cater for the load of CNG Station, such augmentation
shall be done on receipt of the cost from the applicant.
The applicant shall be responsible to acquire all License / NOC / Fitness Certificates from OGRA,
HDIP & Explosive Department etc. before gas supply is commissioned.
CAPTIVE POWER CONNECTIONS:

A separate application form (Annex C) is required to be filled for the captive power connections.
Applicant shall pay Rs. 10,000/- as processing fee (adjustable against connection charges).
All applications will be processed on first come first served basis.
The Gas shall be provided on “As and When Available” basis during 9 months from March to
November.
Only System Augmentation costs if required shall be recovered, if the Captive Power applicant is
located on our existing system.
In case the Captive power Applicant is not located on the Company’s existing gas pipeline,
extension of network shall be considered on 100 % cost recovery from the applicant.
ADDED INCENTIVES
In case, gas supply to your premises has been disconnected, SNGPL offers you the following
unique incentives for getting a reconnection through:• A 40 % payment of total outstanding amount / violation charges.
• Easy installment for the remaining 60 % due amount.
• Cash security based on 60 days consumption pattern.
• Signing of new / fresh GSA.
• A deposit of Rs 1000/- as reconnection Charges.
• Gas supply shall be reconnected within a fortnight, after completion of all the formalities.
