For best corrosion protection of mild steel, prime the substrate with 307-05 Nason®
Industrial HB ZP Alkyd Primer or 650-04 Nason® Industrial 2K ZP Epoxy Primer.
Product Uses / Applications
As an air-dry silver enamel for the protection and decoration of primed metal
surfaces in light industrial environments.
 Industrial plant equipment and machinery requiring a heat resistant finish;
 General structural steelwork;
 Tanks and silos, galvanised roofing;
 Mobile equipment components, box trailers;
 Metal furniture; drum enamel; agricultural implements.
Not recommended for
Where exposure to acids or alkalis may occur.
Immersion service or over thermoplastic paintwork.

Surface Preparation
Previously painted surfaces:
Clean using an Axalta recommended wax and grease remover.
Lightly sand or scour the surface with 3M Scotch Brite Pad grey, and
subsequently re-clean all the areas before the application of 303-30 Nason®
Industrial Silver Enamel.

New Work:
Cleaning:
Degrease using an Axalta approved wax and grease remover.
Mild steel:
Hand or power tool cleaning to AS 1627.2 St3.
Non-ferrous & FRG: Abrade surface and prime with 719-01 or 719-05 Nason®
Industrial All Purpose Etch Primer.
Application
Mix thoroughly. Add up to 15% by volume of 861-60 Nason® Industrial Enamel
Reducer. Filter material prior to spray application.
Application Conditions
Do not apply if material, substrate or ambient temperature is less than 10°C or
above 45°C. The substrate must be at least 3°C above the dew point. Relative
humidity should be below 85%.
Spray Gun Setup
Airless:
0.23 – 0.28 mm min. 1500 psi
Conventional:
1.8 – 2.0 mm 3 – 4 bar 45 – 60 psi
Refer to spray equipment documentation for setting recommendations.

Cleanup Solvents
Clean equipment using 861-60 Nason® Industrial Enamel Reducer
Recoating
Lightly abrade and clean surface before applying 1-2 coats of 303-30 Nason®
Industrial Silver Enamel. NOTE: Do not recoat with polyester products.
