* These Priority Industry Qualifications List (PIQL) 2015 courses are available on the PIQL 2016 under
transitional arrangements, enabling PIQL course fee rates to apply for units commenced in 2016 for new and
continuing students. These courses are considered transitional in 2016, as they did not meet the specified
criteria for inclusion on the PIQL 2016.
It should be noted, the PIQL course fee rate may not apply for these courses in 2017 if they are not included on
the PIQL 2017. If these courses are classified as General Industry Training (GIT) in 2017, any units commenced
in 2017 by both new and continuing students will be subject to the GIT course fee rate.
Notes:
The Department will fund qualifications in line with the transition of training products outlined in the Standards
for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015.
The Department will review replacement qualifications on a monthly basis to determine their eligibility for the list
and the decisions will be reflected in an update of the Priority industry qualifications list at the end of each
month.
