RULES AND REGULATIONS The Committee reserves the right of refusing or cancelling any entry without giving any reason for doing so Any person guilty of improper or insulting behaviour at any time towards the Committee or any member thereof, or any official in relation to their duties may be disqualified or suspended for such periods as the Committee thinks fit, or may be expelled from the Association In the event of the judge considering exhibits unworthy of a prize, no prize shall be awarded Any exhibitor bringing an exhibit to the ground and wilfully failing to exhibit it shall be liable to disqualification during the pleasure of the Committee on the recommendation of the Stewards No award ribbon other than those awarded at the show shall be placed on any exhibit whilst on the Showground without the consent of the Steward for the section in which it is entered The Committee reserves the right to alter or amend the program or abridge or postpone the gathering in the event of unfavourable weather or from any cause whatever The decision of the Committee to be final in each case In all cases where the heights are quoted, competitors must be measured before going to the judge, and must have a certificate stating height, colour and brand, same procurable from the Official Measuring Steward The Association will not be responsible for any accident caused through or by an exhibitor, and will not, under any circumstance, be responsible for the loss or misdelivery of livestock or the exhibit of any kind, or for any damage done thereto The Judge shall have the power to disqualify and mark as disqualified any exhibit, which in his/her opinion does not comply with Regulations, and shall enter their reason in the book. In the event of any protest or disqualification being upheld, the next award in order shall take the place If any doubt arises, or if any protest is entered against the correctness of the entry the Committee may demand a statutory declaration from the persons lodging the complaint and shall take evidence pro and con regarding the question in dispute. Such or any protest must be accompanied by a deposit of $20 and lodged with the Secretary no later than 3.00pm on the day of the award, which may be forfeited should the Committee deem it frivolous. The decision of the Committee to be final. Any exhibitor having made a false statement or entry shall be subject to all or any of the following penalties.: Forfeiture of prize, non permission of the exhibit again, expulsion from the Association If a general parade shall be held, all leadable livestock must take part Stallions will not be allowed to compete in hack classes. Horses must be present, under a penalty of $20 at the parade on day of Show Vehicles containing supplies will be admitted on the ground free up to 10.00am on the morning of the Show, but must leave the ground as soon as unloaded or requested to do so by any of the Stewards or Officials. No horse shall be ridden or driven except in the vehicle reserve unless competing in the show All exhibitors of horses, sheep, cattle, dogs and poultry must be bona fide owners at the time of entry, and no two owners shall be allowed to enter an exhibit unless they constitute a bona fide firm. Exhibitors of fruit, vegetables and flowers must have grown same and the makers of jams, jellies, preserved fruits and butter will receive the prize Any person, who after entering exhibits especially of stock, shall be unable through unforeseen circumstances to exhibit same, will be expected to give notice to the Secretary of their inability to exhibit at least three days before the Show, to enable the Stewards to make arrangements more complete No exhibit (livestock excluded) to be removed before 7.00pm on the evening of the Show. Any person infringing this rule will be liable to be disqualified from exhibiting at any future show, and if the exhibitor has been awarded a prize, such will be liable to forfeiture Application for passes must be made to the Secretary, prior to the Show No person other than the Officials or press representatives to enter the ring with the judges during the competitions Non Members leaving the ground must pay for re-admission Absolutely no collectors shall be allowed to operate at the Gulgong Show. No raffles, hawking or canvassing are to be carried out at any Gulgong Show All stock must be free of vermin or disease or stock shall be removed from the grounds
