It consists of the following components: - A bi-directional hydraulic pump. - A cylinder assembly with piloted locking system. SYSTEM OPERATION To extend your generator: 1) Make sure the generator path is free of obstacles. 2) Push the rocker switch to the “out”position. 3) Extend the generator to your satisfaction, then release the switch. To retract your generator: 1) Make sure the generator path is free of obstacles. 2) Push the rocker switch to the “in”position. 3) When the generator is fully retracted, release the switch. SYSTEM MAINTENANCE 3 This system uses Type “A”Automatic Transmission Fluid (Dextron III, etc.). Do not fill reservoir with any other type of fluid. The Gen-Slide system is designed to provide years of trouble-free service. To assure the continued operation of your Gen-Slide, periodically check the fluid level in the pump reservoir. This can be done in the fully extended or fully retracted positions. Examine the fluid level, and measure it against the oil level decal on the side of the reservoir, keeping in mind the current position of the generator. If the fluid level is lower than the appropriate level line, remove the fill cap on the top of the reservoir and add hydraulic fluid. The Gen-Slide system is a closed hydraulic circuit. If additional fluid is needed, be sure to check the pump, hoses to the cylinder assembly, and the cylinder assembly itself for leakage. NOTE- With the generator slide-out extended NEVER completely fill the reservoir. This will result in overflow and leaking when the generator slide-out is retracted. TROUBLESHOOTING If your Gen-Slide system fails to function, check the system fuse. If the fuse is not damaged, check the wiring connections on the control switch and to the pump. If these are all intact, secure your generator in the retracted position and have the system serviced.
