48 V DC LED Signal Module Performance Specifications 48 V DC Low Power LED Traffic Signal Modules Dialight’s new 48V DC low power LED traffic signal modules have been designed for the next generation of traffic signal control. 48V DC traffic control systems are relatively new and have been designed for use with LED traffic signal modules. Since the 48V DC LEDs do not need to be backward compatible to older traffic control systems, it allows for the product to be designed more efficiently and offer power reductions of up to 40 percent vs. the current 120V AC products. The new 48V DC LED traffic control systems of a number of advantages: • Simplified battery back-up by eliminating the need to supply 120V AC to the LED signals • Lower power consumption for extended battery back-up operation • Increased signal technician safety by eliminating some of the need to work with 120V AC • Increased safety in the event of a knock down with the elimination of live 120V AC wires at the pole. • Modules fit existing traffic signal heads so there is no need to replace the existing installed traffic signal heads. Warranty: Manufacturer shall provide at time of bid, a written warranty which provides for repair or replacement of modules that fail to function as intended due to workmanship or material defects within the first 60 months from date of delivery. Modules which exhibit luminous intensities less than the minimum as specified in the ITE specifications as indicated above, within the first 60 months from date of delivery shall be replaced or repaired.
