COURSE DESCRIPTION

Diagnose and repair charging systems
The Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology is intended for
newly indentured automotive electrical apprentices.
This qualification will provide you with skills and knowledge used in the
automotive electrical technology sector which includes inspection,
service and repair.
You will learn skills in carrying out vehicle electrical/electronic
diagnostic and repair, installing and repairing vehicle lighting and
wiring and installing ancillary electronic control unit and systems. You
will also learn about safe work practices and auto electrical circuit and
wiring systems.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Credit may be granted towards this qualification by those who have
completed AUR20412 Certificate II in Automotive Electrical Technology
in this Training Package or other relevant qualifications.

Recognition of Prior Learning
Do you have existing skills or experience? You may be eligible to fast
track your training through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), for
further information please visit wcit.wa.edu.au/rpl
Full-Time Study
If full-time study is an available delivery method for your course, please
note the following:
• Applications are submitted through State Training Admissions and
can be completed online at wcit.wa.edu.au/enrol
• Applications for full-time study in semester 1 open in September of
the previous year.
• Applications for full-time study in semester 2 open in May of the same
year.
Once these applications close, you may still be considered for some
courses that have positions available. To register your interest, please
submit a Safety Net Application (available at wcit.wa.edu.au) to the
institute directly. Safety Net Applications are assessed after State
Training Admissions applications are processed and successful
applicants will be contacted.
When you have received your letter of offer from State Training
Admissions advising you have successfully secured a position, you'll
need to accept your place and enrol. Please follow the enrolment
instructions specified on the letter.

please attend our Joondalup campus prior to the commencement of

information.
Off-Campus Study
