For superstructure, in front of the passenger ................................... 11 11 12 12 13 13 Location General The fuses and relays for the truck are located under the cover in the middle of the instrument panel. A number of relays are located under the mug holder. Fuses and relays for the superstructure are located under the panel, in front of the passenger. To access fuses and relays: Tighten the mug holder, slacken off the two screws and lift off the cover. Under the cover, there are labels which show the location of the fuses and relays, and what components they are relevant to. The ordinary exterior lighting of the truck is controlled by a lighting control unit. This contains control functions for each lighting circuit. Fuses are no longer used for these functions. If a circuit is broken, for example, because of overloading or a shortcircuit, the driver will be informed by a message in the instrument panel. The function is restored when the fault has been corrected. 1 2 Location Electrical distributor unit, left-hand drive trucks T3014334 Under the cover of every electrical distributor unit is a decal with information on the location of the fuses and relays and what components they are relevant to. 1 Relay and fuseboxes with surrounding relays 2 Relays under mug holder 3 Fuses and relays for the superstructure, in front of the passenger Location Electrical distributor unit, right-hand drive trucks T3014335 Under the cover of every electrical distributor unit is a decal with information on the location of the fuses and relays and what components they are relevant to. 1 Relay and fuseboxes with surrounding relays 2 Relays under mug holder 3 Fuses and relays for the superstructure, in front of the passenger 3 4 Fuses Main fuses Main fuses are located in a main fuse box inside the battery box on the frame. The four fuses are screwed into the fuse box using spring washers and nuts. It is important that the nuts are tightened to the correct torque. See table. If they are not tightened enough, heat can be generated. Over tightening can cause deformation and cracking. Warning! Use the correct tightening torque. Do not forget the spring washers. T3014566 Dimension Tightening torque M5 4.0 Nm +/- 5% M8 20.0 Nm +/- 5% M10 33.0 Nm +/- 5% Normally the fuses last as long as the truck without blowing. Should a fuse blow, the truck should be put in to the workshop for a check of the electrical system. Size Use 1 125 A Pre-heating 2 200 A Hydraulic bogie lift / Body builder 3 125 A Cab 4 40 A Secondary voltage supply to the lights Fuses In the relay and fusebox The fuses in the central electrical unit are blade fuses, two types are used. If a fuse in the same fuse holder has to be changed frequently, the truck should be taken to the workshop to check the electrical system. Note! Switch off the current before changing a fuse. The fuse holder can burn out if the current is switched on. Warning! Always use the stipulated size of fuse. Never use a higher rated fuse. 5 6 Fuses Blade fuses Fuse no: Use: Fuse size: F1 Free ......................................................................................................... 10A F2
