In situ data - Large-scale National Inventory of Forest Condition: 2005 and 2006
Plot size 0.05 ha scaled up to 0.8 ha (50 m radius)
Only plots that clearly lie in homogenous forest and are located at least 100 m away
from the forest edge were considered
plots on terrain with slopes greater than 5o were excluded
Forest surrounding the plot must be
homogenous
