Standard configuration for COWA models:
Model Especially for the Mushroom industry Schuitemaker produces the compost &
casing soil trailers, model COWA, which can be used both as transport-trailer and
dosage wagon. The Schuitemaker COWA is already in use for several decades.
• Lower drawbar with towing eye and strong chassis
• Complete steal box with reinforced (powder coated) side panels and
cage construction

Hydraulic support jack operated by tractor valve and extra
mechanical parking support backside wagon
• Back discharge machine with left or right discharge possibility by
cross-conveyor and slick cross-conveyor belt with 2 scrapers
• Discharge beaters for casing soil or compost (number of beaters
depends on capacity wagon)
• Special heavy duty scraper floor 2 chains (Cowa 50-80) or 4 chains
(Cowa 100-170) with reverse possibility
• Hydraulic unbraked single axle (Cowa 50-80) or braked single axle
(Cowa 100-170), incl. road lights

tractor valve and control unit on front side of the wagon

All trailers are equipped with a robust chassis and a single axle. The machines
are equipped with a solid steel body and a solid platform construction with
crossbeams. The steel body construction has powder painted side panels and
cage construction.
A trailer is standard equipped with an extra heavy duty scraper floor with
variable speed control. For the mushroom industry Schuitemaker also developed
specially designed compost beaters in combination with a discharge crossconveyor and extra rubber flaps mounted above the cross-conveyor end made
for heavy duty circumstances. The cross-conveyor system is standard placed on
the backside of the machine. This ensures a steady and even discharge to either
side. For the casing soil Schuitemaker knows special beaters as well.
If required, Schuitemaker can also offer a tailor-made trailer for every mushroom
grower all over the world. Schuitemaker produces also stationary models for
compost or casing soil.
