CO-Guard Calibration 1. Press and hold the MENU button until EXIT is displayed 2. Press the MENU button once so that ZERO will be displayed 3. Apply 20.9% oxygen cylinder until the balloon is 2-3 inches in diameter 4. Press the SELECT button. The display will flash between ZERO and PV 5. Wait for PV number to stabilize the press SELECT a. If BAD SPAN displays on screen, press SELECT twice to retry span or follow notes at the bottom of the page label Factory Calibration b. If CAL OK or SPAN display continue to 6 6. Remove 20.9% oxygen cylinder and install 20PPM gas until the balloon is 2-3 inches in diameter 7. Press SELECT button once. The CAL 20 and PV will begin flashing 8. Wait for PV number to stabilize the press SELECT a. If BAD SPAN displays on screen, press SELECT twice to retry span or follow notes at the bottom of the page label Factory Calibration b. If CAL OK display continue to 9 9. Press MENU button until EXIT is displayed then press the SELECT button. Note: Reintroduce clean air to the sensor before pressing the SELECT button. 20PPM gas will be in sensor and will cause the system to alarm Factory Calibration 1. If a new sensor assembly has been installed, a factory calibration must be performed. It is suggested to allow the sensor to stabilize for 3 – 4 hours 2. Press and hold the MENU button for 2-4 seconds while viewing the ZERO in step 2 above. F will appear indicating the instrument is in factory mode 3. Perform the calibration ZERO and Span procedures as shown above
