Pre-Wired Raceway – Saves Time AND Material!
Raceway continues to play a vital role in many installations. Installing raceway and all the devices can be time
consuming and labour intensive – not to mention all the wasted material resulting from cutting lengths to size.
Hubbell’s pre-wired raceway helps alleviate both of these issues.
Hubbell pre-wired raceway arrives on site with all the power receptacles fully wired and installed – and we test
them prior to shipping so there’s no need to worry about having to trouble shoot the wiring when it arrives on
site! We build each section based on drawings and information provided at the time of quoting so every section
is cut to length which eliminates the need to order full lengths of raceway (most of which are 10ft) and then deal
with the scrap material when the job is done. Since we cut everying at our factory there are also no issues with
“bad cuts” or gaps in covers so the finished installation looks perfect. For multi channel raceways which
include data cabling we will provide the necessary plates etc but we do not factory install the data cables. Prewired raceway will cost a little more than buying the parts and pieces but by the time you factor in the labour to
cut the raceway and run all the power wires and devices add the cost of scrap material you will find it a cost
effective solution – and since we do most of the labour the overall installation time is greatly reduced meaning
the job is done faster!
In addition to fully installing and testing all the power wiring and devices when Hubbell pre-wired raceway is
shipped to the job site each carton is labelled per your instructions and we mark each carton and each section of
raceway accordingly. We also provide a scaled down copy of the original drawings which shows each section
of raceway numbered. The numbers are shown on the label of the corresponding material and sections are
packed together on skids to make sorting the material on site as easy as possible. No need to search through
multiple skids to find the section you need. ALL sections for a specific area or floor of the building are packed
together so they are easy to find!
Pre-wired raceway makes installing raceway easier. Simply unpack it, mount it to the wall, make a few
connections and you are up and running!
